I was just thinking about these movements this morning waking up … wishing our yoga teachers would give some attention to these areas! I’m Over 63 and can feel the effects of weakness, when i’m sneezing 🤦🏼♀️or coughing!

I agree! More and more yoga teachers and fitness instructors (in my local area) mention the pelvic floor/pelvic area in class, but we still have a long way to go. Meanwhile, you can take matters into your own hands via my videos! You might enjoy my Kegel Camp playlist (start at the beginning, with Day 1, and work your way up 'til the end) or my Lift program (you can get the first week for free): www.vibrantpelvichealth.com/free-trials

I appreciate you so much. Thank you for your videos. I was suffering from terrible pelvic pain before and thanks to you and Dr. Melissa's videos all I have to do is come back to your videos when I have a flare up. I have learned so much from you both and I am so grateful.

Is this one ok for me to do if my physical therapist told me only to do stretching moves for now? And she has me doing breathing exercises
@vibrantpelvichealth18 күн бұрын
This is very gentle and should be fine, but always listen to YOUR body! Stop if anything feels uncomfortable or too activating for your pelvic area.

Is it normal to become aroused as you try to relax your pelvic muscles? I’ve been struggling with a tight pelvic floor (along with a prolapse). Sometimes, as I try to relax my pelvic muscles, by doing stretches and your meditations, they start to tense again, and I have a relaxed release similar to an ‘O’, but I’m not thinking of anything to cause this. I’m hesitant to go to a pelvic floor physical therapist because of this.

Yes! This is normal! And it’s actually a wonderful thing!!! One reason this can happen is due to an increase in circulation that occurs when tense pelvic muscles relax. The relaxation leads to better blood-flow, which is great for the health of your pelvic muscles and nerves, and can also cause engorgement of the erectile tissues that are present in both women and men. Between the erectile network engorgement, more sensitized nerves, and relaxed muscles you may experience arousal - and any physical therapist you’d go to would completely understand!!! This issue is likely transient and will go away (or decrease significantly) as your body readjusts to a more relaxed state, but for now just know that it’s totally okay and nothing to worry about or be embarrassed by ❤
