I bought this amp last week and believe me the reverb is great and that amp is awesome. Pure cristal clear sparkly fender tone...

@@nikolaubtopou I agree with Brad. The reverb may be good but cold when compared to a true spring reverb . It would have been easy to do without the digital solid state device , just bridging the tonestack with a one-tube (12DW7) reverb driver , transformerless and putting the tank down below in the cab. Just check the SWART amps (Atomic Jr for instance) . I did it myself on a sweet EL34 SE and the result is far above all those cold digital sounds. Putting a digital device in a Vibro-Champ is some kind of betrayal ! :-))

What mics and pres are being used here?
@michaeleisenstein85112 жыл бұрын
Combo of SM57 and Royer 121. Pretty sure the press were the ones in the UA Apollo.

I have this amp and love it . However, if I want to drive it at max volume it’s too loud for home use. Is there anything I can do to keep drive at lower volume? 🙏🏻

Yeah I hate how in these demos they say "hay it's only 5,10,12,15 watts so you can crank it and not piss off the neighbors. Man you can't crank a 1 Watt tube amp.

Put it outside or in a closet.

What microphone do you use to record the amp?

You're hearing a blend of a Shure SM57 and a Royer R-121
