I have to say that I greatly appreciate you playing the bass in it's full range. Not just focusing on the high end. So many people play the bass only in the high end, and when they do, I wonder why they aren't using the basses potential.

Bass typically has 4 strings. Sometimes you can get basses with more strings.

you're the first person i've found on KZbin who gets a good tone out of a Fender Kingman acoustic bass

Great demo IMHO. I'm playing a different brand that took extensive tweaking to get the sound I desire. Other brand starts with the letter D.

Have had this exact bass for years. Killer for sitting on a stand at home to grab n play, I do all my home practice on it. However, its pretty quiet and can't keep up with an acoustic guitar's volume. I use an electric for my band's "acoustic" sets.

Beautiful playing, man How does that bass sound without the output?
@basstv37778 жыл бұрын
Thanks Koji! Acoustically without amp it is not very loud. Good for practicing but that´s it. With amp it is very nice sounding. For recording blend the mics and pickup.

@@basstv3777 - Exactly my thoughts. You're a great player btw. Your melodic playing and use of harmonics is inspiring. Was that improvised?

hi. i have a question. can i set a 45-105 electric bass string on it?
@basstv37779 жыл бұрын
+Mani Shahedi yes, but dont do that. It will not sound very well. Take 40-100 set
@Pleasantviller8 жыл бұрын
+Mani Shahedi Tried La Bella 45-105 flatwound, didn't work out. the bridge simply can't hold it. Then i installed Olympia 45-100 flatwound, it sounds sweet then:)

@@jackquarantillo5192 the strings will be too strong that constantly pull the pins out of the bridge

Hey! I use Thomastik flats.Sound good to me.
@fendersunburst48327 жыл бұрын
That was the first thing I did when I got mine was to take off the stock Phosphorous strings as there was far too much finger noise and I replaced them with La Bella Tapewound White Nylon 750T...........50-65-85-105 which is a gauge that is close to the stock strings. Sounds great now with no finger noise and has nice mellow tones. The guy in the video has also taken the stock strings off as the original Phosphorous don't have silk wraps on the end of the strings. Actually they might be La Bellas as the silk wraps are red like mine. In my opinion Tapewounds sound better on a acoustic than Flatwounds or Roundwounds but if I couldn't get Tapewounds I would opt for Flatwounds.

Amp or micorphone????????????????

+Bass Man It´s an Amp,mic and DI. All together. Don´t forget to check the phase between the three carefully when you do this kind of setup. Have a nice day!
