Nice little video - thanks for sparing us the chatter. My take is that if a Fender Pro Jr. is good enough for Jeff Beck, then it's good enough for me. My Fender Pro Jr. Tweed was made In USA (August 1994) with the original alnico speaker (Eminence, made in Chicago at that time). I put some RCA NOS long grey plate 12AX7's in V1 & V2 and a pair J&J EL84's on the power side. Try it, you'll like it. For those interested, one can find the exact date your rig was built, I've included this below: All Fender amplifiers, manufactured after 1989 and 2000, include a date code on the amplifier. This code is located on the "QA" (Quality Assurance) sticker, which may be found on the back of the amp chassis. The sticker is a Black and Silver label, which contains several lines for "sign-offs" at the completion of sound and electrical tests, where applicable. The last line will have 2 letters of the alphabet either printed or written by hand. These letters are the production date code for the amplifier. The first letter refers to the year, and the second letter refers to the month of manufacture. The codes may be interpreted as follows: A stamped code of CE for example, would date the amp to 1992, May. YEAR MONTH 1990 A January A 1991 B February B 1992 C March C 1993 D April D 1994 E May E 1995 F June F 1996 G July G 1997 H August H 1998 I September I 1999 J October J 2000 K November K December L

Awesome playing and tone....Can you use the crunch of the amp at bedroom levels?
@Guitarjosii5 жыл бұрын
No, absolutely not! You will need an Attenuator, Overdrive Pedal, Mastervolume-Mod or something similar but without that, the Amp is much to loud.

I assume this is the telecaster straight into the amp, isn't it? Wow! Can't wait to plug mine! Maybe I like it more without pedals... but your other video with the SG is also amazing...

Thanks!! Yes it was straight into the amp on this Video but you really have to crank it

How well is this suited for home use. Looking at a pedal platform for bedroom practice.
@dnipllr40575 жыл бұрын
It is oerfect for home use with or withoit pedals. You might consider boss.katana 50 or.100. I ll get both the fender and boss.

This sounds killer ive seen a few demos it always seems muffled like its underwater but not here , since its only the tone and volume - the volume acts as the gain or drive ? and off that you adjust the tone? can you use pedals with it or will it over power the speaker ? Thanks David!!!
@Guitarjosii6 жыл бұрын
David trueslayor More volume means more overdrive also more volume of course. The setting for tone depends on the volume position. The amp works really fine with pedals

The middle and Neck positions sound so good. Why does the bridge sound so thin? im gonna be getting that amp but dont know whether i should get a Tele or a Strat? what do you think?
@Guitarjosii6 жыл бұрын
Depends on your playing style and genre of music you want to play
@seanfried55835 жыл бұрын
I thought the bridge sounded huge. It is was the best tone of them all. Tele's almost always have bigger sounding bridge p/u than Strats, if that is your concern

love these tones man. would you say these are loud enough to gig with?
@wadeolder71936 жыл бұрын
I just played in a band with one. Plenty loud. It sounds like it has a 12 in it. The old ones I had to dime. I never came close on the 4. I did use pedals because I have them. Comp, EQ, Reverb, and a TS mini to get some OD.
@oaklandvalleau98086 жыл бұрын
I would say it’s loud enough to gig with. Similar to the Blues Jr for volume. The dirt sounds bettering on the pro than the jr to me. I’ve had them bolth. On a a/ b test.
@alexmason72226 жыл бұрын
How's the clean headroom? usable at all live?
@oaklandvalleau98086 жыл бұрын
Alex Mason it breaks up at about 6. And you could play a pub un miced at that volume. But if you looking for country clean at higher volumes this amp may be a little small for that application. Test one out. There actually pretty loud for the size.

@@Guitarjosii No, just an Affinity. I usually work far away from home & months could pass without coming back. So, I want something I can take with me that can take a dent or two. I know CVs are a great deal, but they are almost impossible to get in Mexico unless you want to pay twice the list price plus taxes.
