I believe that the AGCO Ideal 9T costsa cool 1/2 Million Dollars ! And that's only for the combine, the header is extra, at about 1/4 Million Dollars ! That's what I read some place anyhow. Personally, if I had that much money to spend, it would be going on property or land - the latter isn't made any more and so will only increase in value, whilst even something as sophisticated as this combine will only lose value as time progresses. What the video failed to cover was the extra capacity of this 10T, versus the 9T. Both combines are identical in regard to physical dimensions, the extra capacity on the new machine is derived by fitting an extra set of threshing grates plus a revised threshed grain handling pan below the concaves. Increase in performance equates to about 12% over the 9T combine capacity. Did wonder why the joystick steering was only available on tracked versions of the machine as opposed to the wheeled variant - anyone know ?

I had the first “flip-over” pickup reel on my 1988 MF 8560 rotary. Nothing ever wrapped on the reel. I see they’re now standard reels. 👍

Amazing that the unloading auger turrett can support a 34 foot auger that big . When it's unloading that has got to be a lot of weight hanging to that side of the combine

If i remember correctly,it can do 6.2 bu/sec. That's alot. That's like in 80 sec from fully full tank to empty.

@@jasonreist8145 not surprising really, given that when the unloader is in operation, the tube essentially becomes 'solid' with grain and is therefore much heavier when unloading. The leverage effect must also be quite substantial for the same reason.

It’s that colour because technically it’s an “AGCO ideal”. Same machine in the same colour is available as a Massey elsewhere.

They have a lease they have to finish before going to another brand. The s690’s u see in his vids are just some they are either demoing or temporarily leasing on the side. But I agree they should go back to Deere, much more reliable.

It's not just Fendt, it's twin rotors in very green stemmed lentil beans and even green stemmed soybeans. He went about 90 feet with an X9 and plugged it up. Did it twice and left the field for the S690's

This combine is massive. I am skeptical of the auto hookup feature. It literally takes 1 minute to hook up a head. Automating it sounds great, but seems like another thing that could break and cost to your purchase. So you are saving maybe 3-5minutes a day give or take depending how often you are attaching or detaching?

What a sweet machine! I kinda bleed green, but that is one impressive combine and very sharp looking. I like the steering concept too. It seems like deere would be quivering over this; they’ve made a big deal outta their new x9, but they’re already out-classed with this Fendt being a class 10. I don’t really understand Deere’s logic in their roll out of the new X9...they’ve had a class 9 with the S790?

They really need to improve some parts, and starting a new line like this is always extremely hard. But give them time and 5 years, by then they'll be as reliable as all others and maybe get the fendt 1 system... agco won't let down on that combine and will improve until they're a strong competitor to John deer.. 🤷🏻‍♂️ It's good That they bring new ideas and new categories. To the farmer.

I thought MacDon and John Deere came out with their 50 foot headers before Fendt Ideal. Plus the JD X9 1100 being a class 11 machine

Deere was announced their 50ft in June 2020 and it came to market in 2021. MacDon announced its 50ft on August 6 2021 and it will be on the market in 2022. Fendt announced their 50ft Draper on August 12, 2021 and it will be released in 2022. As far as class goes it’s hard to say. The Fendt 10T 790 hp 485 bu unloads 6.0 bu per second. The X9 1100 is 690 hp 460 bu and unloads 5.3 bu per second. The claas 8800 is 510 bu, 610 hp and unloads 5 bu per second. They are all similar and yet a bit different on their specs.

@@bigtractorpower the only one we don't have to compare is the Claas 8900 at around the same 790 hp with the 510 bushel grain tank. In Europe, they advertise the X9 1100 at a peak rating of near 760 hp.

@@froggienm71 the john deere X9 1100 maximum horsepower is 690 hp and it has 605 rated. So the X9 1100 is class 11 combine with a class 10 horsepower. The Ideal 10 is a class 10 combine with a class 11 horsepower.

You can have the largest combine in North America but when it’s sitting there broke down what good is it. I watch Mikes videos and all those combines are junk after 2 years of small grain harvest with only 1 year of running any bushels through them. There machines go over 5000 acres each witch is the same as our to s790’s. There is absolutely no way one of these Fendts would make it one season of corn harvest.

Take Mike’s story with a grain of salt. There is more there than meets the eye. There is nothing wrong with the Fendt Ideal machines including the ones that Mitchell’s owned. John Deere should not have copied Fendt if they are junk. Green guys are green with envy. Green guys spend all fall picking by hand all those spit out kernels from behind their combines, and then the snow flies.

Have you considered getting a head mount or a chest harness to carry your camera while keeping both hands free? I do have to warn you though, having your camera on a head mount can make your viewers that are prone to motion sickness quite nauseous, as I found out the hard way from Ron Pratt, another KZbinr I watch, who has their camera strapped to a head mount which in turn is strapped to their hard hat, so when their hard hat decides to sometimes disobey the laws of physics and fall off, it takes their expensive camera, usually a GoPro, out with it, something that’s unofficially known as the “Pratt-fall”, a portmanteau of the person’s last name, Pratt, and pitfall.

With the chest harness though, if it’s loosely fitted around your torso and not properly adjusted, that can lead to the camera jiggling all over the place, which leads to the “waddling effect”, aptly called that because it looks like a penguin waddling each time you take a step, which looks hilarious 😂
