My only daughter committed suicide when she was 15. I know she had so much mental pain from anorexia and a personality disorder, so I understand her choice, but her death was a tremendous loss for me. It is something you survive, but from which you never really recover. You don't know how important you are to your family and friends. I admire your decision to think about the others in your life and wish you continued success. The good works you are destined to do can only be done by you and no one else.

My youngest son was only 12 when his brother was murdered. I was gone! I had no brains, no feelings for anyone around me, I was just numb. I shut down completely. He asked me soon after the funeral, “Is it better to die or to live?” I just stared at him. From that day I decided it was not his fault and he deserved a life. I began to feel and cry so much that he felt like he didn’t matter and could not make me happy like I used to be. He is now 35 years old,married,2 kids and drinks way to much, and has had some anger issues as well as anxiety and suicidal thoughts. I have tried and tried to get this through to his wife that these are all warning signs and he needs professional help. She just believes it is my imagination or my want for drama. I know his issues are residual from the trauma of his brother, best friend and only sibling dying. So everyone beware of the children left behind to cope. They hide so much and try to help their parents more than themselves. May all of these children rest in peace! Parents and siblings be strong and hold each other tight. Love to all.

@TexasPictures Жыл бұрын
Naloxone is the active ingredient in Narcan and is also available in many generics as a nasal spray. In fact, the brand name Kloxxado delivers a higher dose of naloxone than Narcan (Kloxxado-8mg per dose, Narcan-4mg per dose). Naloxone can reverse an opioid overdose if administered quickly enough. Some areas have Naloxone available in the brand name Narcan or generic versions available for free. It is important to recognize that Naloxone is the drug, Narcan is just a brand name. Whenever someone uses the word "Narcan" in place of "naloxone", they're devaluing all the other equally effective brand options and promoting a specific pharmaceutical company.

I’m in Scotland, we don’t have any problems with Fentanyl but there is a drug that has been found in the last few weeks that is stronger than Fentanyl, which is really scary, I can’t remember it off the top of my head, but it only takes a tiny bit of it to cause an overdose.

education about drugs is being given to young people in schools. the problem is, they never think it will happen to them. they don't have the maturity or common sense to realize that it absolutely can happen to them. We have the same problem with Drinking and driving, and using all kinds of drugs. There really isn't an answer unless we have a major cultural change and too many people don't want to get sober.

That’s not always true. I use to be addicted to those pills and most people kno it’s fent. Once ur body get immune to it you will eventually start getting withdrawals which is 100 times worst than the flu. I use to snort 1/4 of a pill. Then It eventually stopped getting me high cuz of my tolerance. I started snorting 16 pills a day. Not at once but threw out the day. Then I eventually started doing fent powder. Only reason why people dying is because they taking to much at a time without having a tolerance built up. What about the Dr’s that start patients on this drug & then cut them off & they can’t be left with the pain - how about the pharmaceutical companies that make $$$$ off peoples ruined lives! Also had a friend who’s life was lost to overdose to Oxy for severe back pain. Husband turned his back on her - he criticized the one son who stuck by Mom no matter what & I just feel for that 14 yr old boy who lost his Mom & his Dad’s love to this lethal drug. The passing of this beautiful young woman has obviously destroyed this Mothers life, and the whole family. I do think it would be great for the sibling to give his perspective. Much love and compassion for all of you.

I'm an addict and overdosed several times, almost died and have to take seizure medicine for the rest of my life because of it. My younger cousin never went into the depths of addiction like I did and was a working single mom. She never got arrested, never homeless, never went to rehab, none of that. She OD'd and passed away years ago. Why it was her and not me idk. She mixed the wrong stuff together. I was on opiates over 15 years ago and today's drugs are scary! It's drug induced homicide and should be considered an epidemic. A small amount can end ones life and idk why it's not considered a dangerous weapon so to speak. I'm so sorry for your loss of beautiful Allison. Sharing her story absolutely helps and thank you for having the courage to do so. In Louisiana they are starting to arrest people for situations like this and are constantly busting dealers with it. I don't really care for Louisiana but I'm glad they're taking it seriously!

As long as our laws keep the people who deal this horrific death safe and untouchable, we have absolutely no hope of stopping this scourge. Ohhhh kids... Please just don't. My sincerest condolences to this mother and the rest of her family and friends.

Totally correct. To put the blame on an individual pill pusher, even though that person causes someone's death, will not solve the problem. The laws in the US and most European countries are far too lenient and as such do not deter the importers of these lethal drugs. Fentanyl is now responsible for nearly 250 deaths in the US every day, and this number will only increase if your government remains unable to even consider making a death sentence mandatory for anyone involved in importing these drugs

I know what you are going through, I lost my son in Jon April 27,2019. His death certificate says drug overdose which is an out and out lie. Jon would have never used anything containing fentanyl. I know this for a fact because he had an allergic reaction to fentanyl when they gave it to him after his surgery. I think that these death certificates need to be changed to fentanyl poisoning. I was very confused at first because I just couldn't understand how this could happen. One bad choice cost him his life. My prayers are with you.

@@kristymay9435 overdose is meaning to administer or take medicine in too large a dose. It implies that a drug user knows what the dose is, and chooses to take too much. Poisoning is being unaware of what is being given in a particular drug.

We were very close and he had a heart for God and family. He left two young children that will grow up without their daddy 😭 I know it will effect their lives just has it has effected me and his brothers. Jack was very special and loved all with his Big Heart! God bless you for making everyone aware of the dangers of taking drugs. You can't trust anyone on the street or friends with drugs. I went through a horrible experience with my son and the claims that were made by his girlfriend and she really thinks that we’re going to give up his ashes. She didn’t physically kill him but she did hinder his ability to fight for his life and is trying to play the victim. I’m hurting so bad but to know that a actual person caused my child’s death I couldn’t deal with it. I commend you for being so strong to be able to honor your child by telling her story God Bless You

@user-lf7jc3uh1i3 ай бұрын
uhhhh because (ethical) doctors won’t prescribe people with drugs that they don’t think they need 😵💫 and the people just want them regardless, hence resort to taking them from the streets…
