I think that seasonality might have helped, but that it mainly results from the above average depreciation rates that we saw after the pandemic price peak. I am not (yet) seeing similair drops this year.

summary: most expensive cars (SF90) depreciate massively and least expensive (F360) depreciate least (or appreciated slightly). not really a shocker. impressive skills w excel graphs and a full economist approach to tell the story; always fun to watch even if i don’t like the conclusions :-)

Really appreciate your videos and your data + analysis. You should also include a comparison vs. original MSRP for current production models, or at least clear notes on it. Maybe include a baseline line in the graphs of original MSRP adjusted for inflation so it works across each model? Or a starting dot in a different color that shows years of production and MSRP? Your SF90 data "experiencing losses" is skewed quite a bit because they were selling originally for sooo much over MSRP in the aftermarket. Your depreciation curve still looks to be above original MSRP for the vast majority of SF90 builds....

Majority of Ferrari depreciations happens when models end their 7 year contract service period, so over time it's normal they deprecite until it expires, once it expires then it's true value starts to appear

I am a behind behind on the Lamborghinis as i only have data for the Urus and the Huracan. Ferraris tend to a bit better on the channel. Having said that, it is about time that i cover some more Lambos.

Fellow F430 owner here. I think you'll be able to get a 458 at $150K - maybe even better. Give it a year or so (maybe wait until after the US election). Economy is looking bad. Your F430 should hold value better than the 458 though, so you'll win at that game.

Yes that would be the most accurate solution. Unfortunately, the transaction data is not readily available.

@@fourwheeltrader there is some data on bring a trailer, and cars and bids. Maybe not enough to be statistically significant but you could analyze/ share as examples. The gap between the two is pretty wide right now.

​@@juandanzilo9324Hagerty also has good aggregated auction data. IMO, BaT sale prices are typically top of the market (excluding high-end auctions like RM Sothebys and Bonhams). The buyers have bigger egos, and thus pump prices higher, because of the public attention on the auctions. It's a bit of a hype cycle that doesn't represent reality.

Why do you think that? The cheapest 360 listed for sale is curractly at 80k. Note that, as explained in the video, the recent price increase mostly result form an increase in the low mileage segment.
