I loved hearing your family story as it also rings true for me as well. My dad passed away last year and we didn't get together at all for Christmas, but this year we spent the day with my aunt, uncle, and grandma who is seeing her final days, so although it was hard seeing her that way, it was also really nice. I hope and pray that whatever happens this next year is good to you and your family

Congratulations on reaching your GoodReads goal 🎉 I surprised myself reading 54 out of my 30 book goal. I believe it was due to joining the bookish app The Nest that OwlCrate created. So many bookish people on there and it’s very motivating. I increased my goal to 60 for 2024. It maybe be a bit too ambitious for me but it’s supposed to be a challenge right? 😂 It looks like you had a wonderful Christmas and I hope 2024 is all you hope to be and more xx

FABULOUS... I just love your videos. I don't normally comment but wanted to say happy New Year from Australia and congratulation on your Goodreads target. I also built a booknook at the end of last year, I LOVED it,

loved watching your vlog! so heartwarming. And the goodreads goal panic is SO relatable. Also the books mentioned have significantly increased by tbr. Hope you have an amazing new year. p.s. The murderbot series are really amazing as audiobooks

Happy New Year! I loved this style of vlog! My goodreads goal for last year was 52 and I only managed 41 so I’ve only set a goal of 24 this year ☺️ Looking forward to seeing more of your content in 2024

Happy New Year lovely! 🥳 Great vlog! I’m glad Rebecca liked The Eras Tour. The Waterstones sale wasn’t too bad online, but the stores defo were holding back. My closest one there were hardly any half price stickers on any books! Girl don’t stress about your library, my figure is more shameful 😅 Here’s hoping 2024 is a happy and healthy magical year for you and your family xxx

I picked up some broken bones for these first time and loved the gift wrapping. Very nice touch. Here in the US barnes and noble also changed their 50% off all hardbacks from years past to 33% of select hardbacks with extra credit.

Awhh thanks for sharing your Xmas with us. Really enjoyed this vlog 🥰 hope you had a merry one! Im also a carer and managed to go part time with my job last year, the best decision. I failed my GR goal so I obviously didn’t put my extra time into reading 😂 but that’s ok. My goal will probably remain at 50-52 per year. Might need to put in some more graphic novels 👀 Ooo I got the audio technica player a few months ago for my 30th and 1989TV. It’s defo one of the best things I’ve ever received. I love audio books! Usually things I wouldn’t pick. So lots of non fiction - I think it feels like a podcast? So great to listen to when driving or cleaning.

Aww hugs for a fellow carer, it's so hard! I'm finding that I don't read books on my days of caring still because I'm so focused on other things. Yes that certainly is OK! Good luck with your goals this year Omg such a good record player, absolutely love it, I have Folklore llps and its just perfect. Agree about non fiction audiobooks being like a podcast! Happy new year 🤗🤗🤗

Happy holidays! The Winner's Curse was my favorite book of all time since it came out. To note I was too scared to reread it and be disappointed, so who knows if it would have stayed up there that long (I'll guess no 😂). Until SJM knocked everyone else out of the park 😏 It's too late now obviously, but I always suggest manga to get ahead of that goal. They're mostly found free online, too. Dunno why they're so accessible but it helps me out when I'm feeling stressed about that same goal (also so many great manga genres for everyone) ❤

The Winners Curse was great I'm so pleased I picked it up! My library has a good stock of manga, I just totally forgot! Used to love Nana as a teenager

DISCUSSION COMMENT (SPOILERS) . . . Our Wives Under the Sea: My interpretation is that I really feel like Leah didn't come back and the book was Miri working through her acceptance of this and that Leah's chapters are what Miri imagined happening, although I know that this is just one interpretation of many and that some people see this as a metaphore for a relationship that no longer works because the people in it have changed. The scene at the end where Miri turns to water was beyond heartbreaking, and for me was a moment of acceptance but letting grief "wash over her".

Loved this. Also really did not like the ending to Wilder Girls. So disappointing. I was also mainly raised by my grandparents and now just have the one left.
