Hi mate! I had a similar experience on my car with the "Hazzard Light Easter Egg". Turns out there is already a Software Update available at the dealers and now I can fast charge (100kW) for longer without using the Hazzard Lights. Give the dealership a call!

Bedankt! I wish Tesla USA would move a bit faster on opening up the network and adding adapters for CCS. My 36 kWh e-Golf maxes out at ~39 kW DCFC, but it would still be fun to test.
@TassieEV3 жыл бұрын
You're not blocking a charger when there is nobody there anyway and you are allowed to use the charger so that is a good thing you are using it.
@DanWarburton2 жыл бұрын
I think it’s absolutely ridiculous if you don’t jump the queue and pay for the charge, to be worried about taking up a charging point. We are all equal to each other, no one has superior rights over another. What a ridiculous concern to have.
@jagmani-pace35453 жыл бұрын
The newer I-paces have 11kw onboard chargers rather than the 7kw you were using. They also have a dedicated cable release button built in. Unfortunately they max out on a ccs charger at 104kw. If you get the chance try one and see if that is quicker than the older cars on the Tesla superchargers? Very interesting video for me as I had not seen an Ipace using a Tesla stall before Thanks!
@electricfelix3 жыл бұрын
Indeed I've rented an EV320 this summer which had the button! Unfortunately I don't know anyone with a new one, but I'll try anyway! Plus I hope to come back for a hazard light session but from the very beginning so it hopefully works out next time :>

I wonder if Tesla can eliminate the app in the future, once your car is entered in their system the VIN can be sent and billing done automatically without having to use the app? Similar to how Teslas operate when they plug in??
@electricfelix3 жыл бұрын
Depending on the vehicle it should be possible, precisely what Fastned does with their autocharge system! It recognizes your vehicle after once starting the charge with the app.

@electricfelix Would be nice to test the I-Pace at the Tesla V2 SuC. Supposedly, the V2 can only output 410V, but the I-Pace has a 450V battery voltage. Would be happy about a test where the I-Pace is charged to 100% at the V2 :)

Would be interesting indeed, there are several locations nearby. Takes more time though so will have to find a way to borrow one for longer.

@electricfelix3 жыл бұрын
@@alexhaddock4554 You do! Don't turn them off, it will immediately dial down the charging throttle to around 80kW usually. Leave 'em on and enjoy the show. Drive fast before you go charging though, use lots of regen, ideally you want the battery above 30 degrees!

If I was you and saw that many empty stalls, I would park anywhere I wanted. If I needed to move later because it was busy, that is when I would move. No point parking out in the driving area like you did with so many free spaces.

@electricfelix4 ай бұрын
That is a great question actually. Think it depends on your mileage and if all necessary recalls over the years have been fixed and handled "correctly". Other than that I'd say you mainly need a lot of luck if you for example get one second hand now. They're a bargain in The Netherlands because of the amazing lease deals that all ran out by now

many vehicles don't plus they don't know the SuC as a fast charging location ..
@alanmay79293 жыл бұрын
Why are soo many tesla at those AC chargers?!
@electricfelix3 жыл бұрын
Because it's easy. Most people drive around NL with a "charging card" from their "boss". You swipe it at any AC (or DC) charger and that's it. So when you arrive at this restaurant for food/meeting you put your Tesla at an AC charger, boss pays, and you leave a couple hours later with a full battery. No Supercharging needed. Plus not all Model S can use this v3!
@alanmay79293 жыл бұрын
@@electricfelix thats superb, and not supercharging makes the battery last longer.
@davidsommen13243 жыл бұрын
It's a big part of the convenience of owning an EV, which a lot of ICE drivers do not (yet) comprehend. If you have ubiquitous AC charging, there's only need for HPC when roadtripping. Most people only travel less than 50kms a day and travel distances that exceed an average modern EV's battery range only once or a few times per year. If you can charge your car while you're doing something else (sleeping, working, shopping, eating,...) you never have to worry about range. This fact alone is one of the reasons why EVs are the future - once infrastructure is in place (which it is already in many places, but still some way to go) EV driving will be way more convenient than driving ICE cars. For people who can charge at home this is already mostly the case, but obviously there are lots of people who can't do that, so this is the way forward.
@alanmay79293 жыл бұрын
@@davidsommen1324 it only depends on how you use your vehicle, EVs aren't necessarily better tbh.
