It'd be cool to see how a track is designed/modified for Formula E racing and how it all gets installed prior to the event. I'm also curious about how teams travel and transport equipment between races. Its a long shot, but a look at the MGU would be amazing, even if its a Gen 1 car.

What i like in FE is that it combines the close rough racing of NASCAR with the cool cars and tracks of F1. (karts can be quite chaotic and comparable too) The only downside is that they are not as fast as the other two.

Well, there are many more downsides. The sound, but I am a dinosaur, so Ok I get that. Qualifying format is a complete joke, it is absolutely laughable and makes no sense. then saying that "we as FE" have a very exciting championship.. well, yeah..., No. Putting the incompetent idiots at front to create havoc isn't a very bright idea imo.. So far, haven't seen this season, because y'know, it pretty much sucks now, but i saw the first 4 or 5 seasons and every year it was getting less and less interesting. Its not all misery because I like this attack-mode idea, but the whole executing of it is often ridiculous. In general it feel FE is being run by a bunch of toddlers, it could be so much better though.

Love this, been a follower since the 2nd year. Had high hopes and really is exceeding my expectation. F1 may still be the premier high profile race out there but make no mistake, this is the future of racing. The sound the strategy, on site and off site engineering and track dynamics is just amazing. Specially now with a hohum & lackluster officiating and rulings over certain race team and individuals in F1, FE just more than fills my racing fill. It may not stand out right now especially to those more accustomed to loud roaring engine noises and brand following, but make no mistake. the dinosaurs are going extinct. and i'm glad to be witness to the the next generation of auto performance racing....space age style.

You can finish having used all of the “usable energy” and it showing 0.0% (coasting across the line) but because there is more energy than that left in the battery itself the FIA can tell if you used more than the allocated usable energy. So it would show as like -0.1% and then they might get a penalty post race for over usage

Why is usable energy deducted from the cars when there is a safety car?

obviously formula e is all about energy saving, the reason why they deducted the energy because they dont want all 24 drivers hoping for safety car / vsc to happen because if that happen all drivers can save their energy from that and they will use that energy way too much when the race are about to ended. imagine having 30-35% battery when the races are only 5 minutes left.

@@tysopiccaso8711 it puts everyone who saved energy to push at the end on a disadvantage. With how chaotic FE is almost every race gets SC. This would then mean everyone pushes hard af in the first laps and hope for a SC or just save energy at the end. And that'd be lame ... finishing under a procession. SCs are for safety & shouldn't be so rewarding that it completely dictates every single strategy

I think formula e is boring atm, once the battery’s improve among other things I can see it becoming a decent motorsport in comparison to f1… but for now f1 is far far far superior

True but Formula E is only introduced to the Motorsport competition in 2014 so it’s only 7 years old while F1 has been around for decades if I’m not wrong.

@@camerons7599 i think the only races I always watch are Monaco E-Prix and Puebla. To be honest I never watch Qualy on FE it's too predictable but make for incredible races. F1 Monaco sucks, but is and will always be better than a spec series. At least to me as an engineer the development arms race at F1 is enthralling and awe inspiring
