I just made this! It is much shorter because I used the yarn I had left over from creating the Island Lace Scarf (I made it into an infinity scarf using the pattern). I absolutely love it!! It is so cute even at a shorter length!! Now I have a matching scarf and hat using two of your fabulous patterns!! Thank you so much for these tutorials!!

Using a 6.5 mm hook and size 4 yarn I needed 66 stitches for about 23 in circumference. I also recommend doing a row of single crochet after the initial chain. I found it made the brim sit flatter and look better (IMHO). Love this pattern though.

I did it!!! Turned out fantastic!! I dont wanna take it off. I used Red Heart worsted #4 and a J/10-6.00mm hook. I added 1 row of single crochet to the chain before the row of double crochets. 3 rows of fpdc's and 16 rows of V stitches. Turned out way better than I expected.

I'm making this to go with an infinity scarf that is also V stitches to wear with my winter coat. It's so nice to have the video to refer to. My inherited yarn isn't marked and is a finer gauge so took 76 chains to get to 20 inches for my small head. The pattern is so easily adjustable.

64 stickers is perfect for 23 inch noggin lol I did 70 and I was sliding off my head. 23 is just perfect with a little stretch. Took my 3 attempts to get my size right. I also added 5 rows for the head band since I have a larger forehead. I like thicker bands. It does gain stitches when you start doing the the V stitched but since you go into the v stiches to make a mesh look it doesn’t matter.

Yarn Weight 4, 246 yards, crochet hook size J or one size larger than recommended on the yarn label so you get a nice drape. Pattern worked on an even number of stitches.

U prob have it done now...but mine was doing the same thing. I bought a tension ring & grip crochet hooks, & I was able to redo it perfectly! Try putting it on a table also, to keep the tension from getting loose. Lastly, make sure you only pull up on it and not around it. 😉👍
@rebeccalogan69908 ай бұрын
The 56 chain is a bit too small n I have a small head lol 23"inch/59 cm around.... so I'd make it like an even 60 chain if ur head is the same size as mine also factor in hair volume as well too, but you can also steam the hat with a small steamer to also get the right fit...I hope this comment helps y'all 😊 have a wonderful safe day. Also to make it slouchy enough do at least 26 rounds like she did I had to count them myself because she didn't say but yeah no less than 15 depending on head size if ur head is small then 15 rounds to maybe 17 would be good for you. Good luck yall and also thank you for this video it's awesome I'm going to make a lot of these lol
