I this episode of Field Target Tech Channel, I demonstrate the installation of a regulator in a Gen ll Marauder, and some other parts and work intended for future modifications. Sorry for the blurry video, don't know what happened. New camera is in order.
I have also stated that the valve and hammer to be installed in the future, was from Wicked Air Rifles. This is incorrect, as it is actually from Tim Hill of Hill Airguns.

Scott, you are correct, I removed the stock for easier viewing, didn't feel the need to show the stock removal. The air gauge was removed, as I already had a regulator in it, and I just wanted to show the ease of regulator installation. The regulator goes against the gauge block, but the pressure gauge will read regulated air. It's up to the rebuilder whether or not to leave the block in. The Archer tool is used when removing valve from the rear of the gun. Being that I did not do that, I could not demonstrate the use of the tool. In the future I will do a complete rebuild, and a full comprehensive video on a complete rebuild.

You are correct, I thought I did. It slid into place very easily, with zero resistance, If I felt any resistance, I would have used that tool I used from Archer Airguns. Good eye for picking that up!!

Samrong, the regulator is either a Huma regulator, Lane regulator, or the regulator from Airgun Exporter. They all are installed and are adjusted the same way, and their operation is the same. I am in this case installing the Robert Lane Regulator.

Willis, all of these regulators are for .177 @ 12 ft lb operation. They all came from the factory set for that, I also speculate that the plenum is sized accordingly. I would think I that the plenums for .22 and .25 would be considerably larger.

Actually, I did as I slid it into place, it was just a little off camera. My cinematographer skills aren't going to win any awards, getting a new camera soon for better quality, and wider field of view.

What is Regulator name?

I was confused. At the 10:30 min. mark you are removing the air fitting assembly. There is a gape in the procedure as there is no longer a stock on the gun or apparently an air gauge. As a total newbie it would have been nice to see you perform everything. It would have also been nice to see you demonstrate using the Archer tool. Is the air gage seated against the regular?

Is that regulator a .22 size plenum or .25 plenum?

Correct me if I am wrong but does the marauder factory gage block butt against the valve if not the you need to put a spacer between the gage block and the valve.

With the Gen 1 model, a spacer between the valve and the gauge block is not needed. I'm not sure about future models.

Tom great video but not covering that gauge port hole at very least with your thumb is just asking to nick an oring causing an air leak.

Did I miss the removal of the gauge block. Or did it get pushed further down towards the hammer ?

Stephen, in this video I only show regulator installation, the valve and the gauge block were not removed. The regulator butts up against the gauge block. The gauge will now read the regulated pressure. The gauge and block may be removed, with the regulator taking its place. This will give an extra shot or 2, due to the air replacing the gauge block space. I made this video for the simplicity of a regulator installation, without going into any of the internals of the gun

Ok apparently there are different styles of regulators. The Huma ones have a gauge port as part of the regulator so the original valve block needs removed Your style and my simply but up against the valve block. What do you do for a vent for the regulator. My instructions say to remove the forward facing side o ring from the valve block and simply but the regulator that gas an o ring that seals to the side of the valve block up against the block.

@@SpYucaipaSoCal , the installation of this regulator does not need a bleed hole to be used. Some Huma regulators say they need this bleed hole to operate properly. This regulator is a Lane regulator, which by design, does not need a bleed hole to outside atmosphere.

What is the string hooked up to?
@sniperxbow60
@sniperxbow60 Жыл бұрын
Sorry, I forgot to highlight that detail. On the end of the regulator, there is a screw that protrudes from the regulator. This is not an adjustment screw, it's just there to fill the threads, and let the air through a little bit slower. The string is tied to this screw, and that's the string you see me tucking in at the end, when the regulator is bottomed out, the string is long enough to extend past the tube. I am tucking the string in before putting the cap on with the Foster fitting. In the future, I won't have to disassemble the entire gun in order to take the regulator out. Just remove the end fitting, fish out the string, and pull out. This is handy if you want to quickly adjust the regulator pressure until it suits your needs.

No the tube is not regulated for 3,000 PSI it is the stock valve. Checkout airgun mad labs The Marauders pressure tube failed at 10000 PSI. That said I will still not go over 3,600psi
