You need to boil up water under the glass bottle to avoid breaking and tilt it so steam does not have to travel so far. The recipient bottle needs to be placed in wet sand to cool steam. By doing this you will speed up the process and get more fresh water

To improve upon the water distillation: Take another bottle (you got plenty of them), fill it with salt water (you got plenty of that too), and pour this water into the sand surrounding the collection vessel. This will cool down this vessel and the contained steam much better than the air alone. Even when the cooling water gets hot, it will evaporate and thus take a lot of heat away. If you want to increase your yield even further, just regularly pour more salt water, e.g. if the sand dries. You could also bury the collecting bottle a little deeper to give it more surface area for this water cooling. Essentially, this simple trick will result in a higher productivity of fresh/distilled water.

Someone spotted in one of these videos that they were using concrete slabs that locked perfectly machine cut and that they were not actually that deep in the jumgle but just shortly from their villages they live in. Though some have some realism, a majority of these channels from south east Asia are fake and from the same group of poeple. In some videos you can see the vehicle tread marks in othe videos, parts of the wall they digging clearly show smooth spade marks while he is using a stick. BTW to get the machinese there you drive them to the dig site t. You don't see them because they are off camera. 27:30 the bottle was empty because hot gasses rise whilst cold gasses sink as temperature affects their relative density. You had the pipe facing downwards which meant the steam was escaping on the other ends and the little bit that condensed in the bamboo was trickling into your bottle.

Fun fact drinking coconut water can actually make you dehydrated a lot faster I think it's like the green ones that you can actually drink that won't make you dehydrated but I don't completely know but yeah drinking coconut like brown coconut water makes you a lot more dehydrated

Another good episode. For processing water when you are close to the sea, I saw a person set up a filtration system using bamboo with different levels of sand and gravel. That may be a worthwhile low effort way to get drinking water without needing fire.

a filtration system (with sand and stuff) will not get out the salt. You would need a high-tech membrane for that.

@@vchism712 yeah I think so too. How often does it rain on such an island? Probably the best way to have enough water on a small tropical island is to catch water with a big surface area and store it in big containers. Maybe that is not possible when you only use rubbish that you find.
