For a boxing purist this was absolutely amazing. A huge big up to Turki fo4 making it happen. But the fighters, wow.. it was stunning stuff. I had Beterbiev winning by 2 but could easily have gone the other way. For a 39 year old to finish as he did, mind blown! He was up against a supernatural boxer but made the adjustments and did enough to box his way to a win. Had it been a 15 rounder..there was only one winner and thats Berterbiev.

Dazn commentary was disgusting, unbelievably biased towards Bivol, you’d think beterbiev didn’t land a single punch the way they were going on. Also wtf was up with only showing Bivols highlights between rounds?

It was extremely close, sick of hearing people saying close fights are robberies. Also the inoue vs tsutsumi fight that's just happened was incredible (wish they'd fight elsewhere other than Japan they're so fun to watch)

No Judge scored for Bivol. Just imagine the reaction against Arthur if it was split decision.

I had Bivol win by one. But the commentary I was listening to (DAZN) was mostly biased towards Bivol, so I would need to rewatch it back. But I could certainly see Bertebiev winning it too and it also being a draw. Definitely not a robbery. Ridiculous to even call it one!

The official criteria for scoring a fight is: - Effective aggression - Clean and effective punching - Defence - Ring generalship Did you guys consider these 4 criteria when coming up with your scorecards?

No, the footwork issue was the major knee operation Beterbiev had only 5 months ago.

I had 114-114.. but I think the Bivol bias got to me a little. It’s was really bad.

Excellent boxing from Bivol & excellent pressure from Beterbiev, loved the fight, was engaged for the full 12 rounds and for me that was everything I wished too see in this bout and it's left us all wanting more truly captivating, can't wait for the rematch GOT TO happen!!

Just a point about the post-fight interviews. The interview with Beterbiev was thoroughly awful. Everybody knows his English isn't good. And when you add in what he had just done over the last 36 minutes, it should have been clear that an analysis of the fight wasn't necessary. And yet still Chris Mannix went on...and on...and on...and on. When it became clear that Beterbiev didn't understand the questions, he just repeated them. Perhaps Mannix doesn't speak any other languages, because when you do, you realise you have to be very careful in your sentence construction and use of idioms when speaking to a non-native speaker. Somebody should have a word with Mannix. On the fight, it was probably the most high-quality fight I've seen in the last 30 years. I've watched boxing much longer than that but when I was younger I didn't appreciate the finer points, and I still don't now. It was wonderful. In real time, I scored it 6-5 Bivol and one round even. However, when I watched it again this morning I gave my even round to Beterbiev and I switched on the last round. Last night I gave it to Bivol, it was a mistake. Beterbiev won that one, making my card 7-5. However I had rounds 3, 4 and 8 very close. So wide margins are possible. They were both brilliant.

There are VERY few pros and ex pros who’ve scored the fight anything other than for bivol. We need to stop rewarding pressure when you’re being out landed and taking everything on the gloves.

Did anybody notice the camera panning to Turki and Warren? It seemed Turki wasn't very happy with something and Warren seemed to ease his concerns with whatever he said. Seemed abit odd.

Bivol himself said that most of the damage on the left side of his face was from blocking right hands and the power going through his glove. I thought Bivol just.. just.. did enough but haven't rewatched. I think a draw would have probably been the fair result even if it is a little unsatisfying.. but would set up the rematch nicely. Although maybe the rematch is a bit juicier with a hint of injustice?

I only had bivol winning 123 and 9 on first watch. 7 and 8 close but i actually did score it 116-112 beterbiev and i still think it can go either way😂

People act like 116-112 is this major difference when it's really only a victory by two rounds. In a fight where a lot's of the round were close, it doesn't sound crazy to me.

Even all of the comments I've seen online are very split. That, to me, shows that these guys were as evenly matched as most people thought before the fight. THIS is the kind of result that warrants a rematch. Beterbiev seemed to have a lot of ring at first. I can see both guys making adjustments IF they gift again (I hope they do).

Whilst most close fights aren’t robberies, the issue here is the max you can score for beterbiev is 6. It was incredibly competitive but the cleaner work came from bivol and I easily have him 7 and could argue for 8. I gave beterbiev a swing round mainly because I felt like I was being biased. Shawn porter seemed to agree with me though…

Very nice conversation. Really highlight that judging is subjective to a degree. I got Beterbiev by one round. When close, I do favor the pressure and output. Bivol even tho he has beautifull skills, was a bit to passive. Great fight.

Beterbiev all day. The reason bivol went on the back foot in the first place is because he was getting stunned by atur just punching through bivols gloves. You could see it in his face he didn't like the power.

I had 1,2,3 and 9 as clear Bivol rounds. Then 5,6,7 and 11 as clear Beterbiev rounds. Rounds 4, 8, 10 and 12 were swing rounds for me. Hence, I can see how anyone would give either fighter the win, but I felt like Bivol did more eye catching work. That’s just my perspective though and I’ve watched it 3 times now. No robbery but 116-112 is diabolical either way! Although when they read the 116-112 card last, I was certain they were giving it to Bivol…

For me really Beterbiev won the fight..BB is most giving punch to the Bivol..simple judge just looking at the face of the boxer, which one is more injury ..

Scored it 7-5 Bivol last night and after watching again this morning, scored the same again. Not too sure how you score the fight to Beterbiev unless you're scoring blocked shots and pressure. Great fight between two elite fighters non the less!!🔥

I had Beterbiev 115-113, now changed my mind for a draw. A few swing rounds could make it 115-113 either imo super close fight, no robbery here.

Things I learned last night... 1. Bivol and Beterbiev are both incredible! I had it 115-113 to Bivol. I can see a draw! 2. Opetia - Is STILL the killer in the division and IMHO won't be beaten at that weight. 3. Clarke's career is over before it begins. I fancied Wardley to stop him. NOT that early, Jesus! 4. Eubank still has a little something left, albeit a bit disinteresting. (I just hope he bangs out the Steven Seagal come Harvey Price lookalike) 5. Wardley, is a problem for quite a few Heavyweights. I think he can break the top 10 then will get found out. 6. Whittaker, was what I suspected, ALL sizzle, NO steak. (The next Josh Kelly) 7. I'm still NOT interested in women's boxing lol

1 of the judge gave Beterbieve 8 rounds. Bivol clearly won 4 out of 6 early rounds. Beterbieve barely throw any punches in the first 3 rounds.

I had beterbiev 7-5 i felt like bivol wasnt doing enough work to win rounds it was few and far between with the combos. I thought also when beterbiev landed he got a reaction out of bivol and bivol couldnt hurt him or deter him from coming forward which for me is more effective especially if they are both landing similar

And i also thought beterbiev won larger periods of the rounds and bivol had more flashy explosive combos a bit like hagler vs leonard but it was really close im just glad we got a good fight

{Pretty much every commentator on all the channels were convinced Bivol won by two or three rounds, personally i thought it was very very close, volume of Beterbievs punches Vs quality of Bivols. Bivol did very little in the later part of the fight but that one score card was insane.

Considering known Chechen warlord, murderer and traitor Ramzan Kadyrov jumped into the ring to celevrate with Beterbiev before the result - I think the judges made the "right" decision (for their own safety)
