Hey Tim, come and fly my glider with me. It has 2 seats, 28m wingspan and an engine to take off and get you home, so no need for field landings or a VR mask. It’ll be reality, nothing virtual about it at all!

Nice but VRgineers XTAL is better. Almost 180 FoV and 40pixels/degree. But its price.. the solmium 1 is by the same guys and bit easier on the pocket. I led their integration into Typoon R&D sims for deployable devices for TFST

Strangely enough my mic never starts when the headset starts, but if you just if you press restart headset the microphone should work.

I once landed a glider in a field on X-country out of RAF Laarbruch (Two Rivvers GC), early 90's pre mobile phone or GPS. Knocked on the door of the nearest house (very rural) to ask to use the phone (in pigeon German) and it only turned out to be the local brothel 🤣... I digress great un boxing vid !

Currently going through the ringer with this company, bought one of these headsets but the headtracking had issues, sent it back a fortnight ago, still waiting for refund. Been a nightmare dealing with them.

The Pimax Crystal (not the light) is definitely on my radar. The Oculus Rift S (which I currently have) and the HP Reverb G2 have aspheric lenses so when you us peripheral vision to look at the instruments, it's all blurred. So, the only way to ensure clarity is to turn your head and look directly at them. Don't get me wrong. The Oculus Rift 2 was a superb - low cost - introduction to VR, for which I become nauseous for at least a month while I built up my tolerance - but now I'm ready for something better. The Pimax is the elite - but it does cost 4 times more than the Oculus Rift S.

My boy has the meta quest 3 and some of the flight games on that are brilliant and you can absolutely see a big difference between graphics on the two compared to the 3. It’s a good head set but I’m assuming the pimax is superior?

Maybe you can consider Crystal Light? Regarding the price, it's much cheaper than Crystal ang it has the same 4k per eye.

@@PimaxVR15 I’ll have a look. I think we’re definitely needing to upgrade in some capacity as he’s struggling to synch the meta with his laptop so that he can join the flight school. To be fair his laptop is for school work not gaming as he has a dedicated console for that. I’ll do some research 🧐. Thanks for the recommendation 😀.
