I tried this on a school bully..... later i apologised to his parents cause of the punches that came later...... really good method. Only problem is I couldn't rotate to the other side. But still working on it. P.S everyone was so impressed by it....😊

After he do the "roll" his head looks exposed to elbows. Or is throwing an elbow at that angle considered a 12-6?
@nibraasjaffri42178 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing
@fighttips8 жыл бұрын
Of course, that's the risk you take with any move. Plus, once you are in side mount, you can drop elbows and punches of your own.

Matt in street fight 12-6 don't exist

At 1:26, the elbow would pretty funny to the top guy. At 1:26, if you are on bottom you may want to try a move called the "shrimp" right away.

Personally if I can get a hold of a double leg. I tend to just drive the guys hips back and towards the mat while lifting up his legs. It works majority of the time when I get a good grip. But it may also be due to my strenght. For less powerfull guys something like this works wonders. But evne then I'd recommend going for a single instead if you lack power.
@Plague_Doc228 жыл бұрын
My version also allows for easy side control as you lift the guy and hes falling, you can twist his body and land in side control. Really effective if the guy isnt as strong as you.

Shane could u maybe do a video on how to win a 'street fight' without actually striking (punching, kicking etc) your opponent as I have a feeling someone from my school may try to fight me in the next few days, the way he's been acting towards me. Iv trained in kickboxing so I'm fairly certain I could take him in a normal fight but he's 2 years younger than me and my school takes fights very seriously so if I hit him they would just see it as a year 10 beating up a year 8 but at the same time I don't want to be known in school as someone who got beaten up by someone 2 years younger...

Shane has a lot of time to put his left leg back during your initial movement preventing your sweep, and your head positioning leaves the guillotine open regardless of rolling into side control. This is pretty low percentage and doesn't account for any takedown defence

@reevavillanueva65186 жыл бұрын
Tamriel Scholar Run and do some jogging and cardio work. Run into places with high elevation and it will keep your heart pumping getting all that muscles work out longer and more efficiently. The jabs and straight punches are good to practice for speed work and how much you retract the punch quicker. Speed bags also help and footwork drills are key. I tape a lot of lines on the floor and layed out my footwork pattern through it and it helped me improve and prepared for my first match.
