Think it's the Dimetri Eats, Greek, cooking channel that showed taking a few of the fresh unprocessed green scallion scapes and swished them around the bottom of the stainless steel pan. The natural oils in the scallion scapes will create a oily film that covers the bottom of the pan to make it nonstick. Otherwise a ceramic pan works good with a little oil for about two years if you don't put the pan in the dishwasher.

@RunninUpThatHillh she does more in a day than I can in a year! Lol I was on my 3rd gardening season when she was on her first and started her channel and I was like oh cool, we can learn together! I make 30 burritos at a time for my husbands lunches. I do rotisserie chicken rice and beans or carnitas rice and beans cheese cilantro. I microwave each burrito for 20 seconds then assemble and wrap in foil. I find that they fold easily heating them one at a time. Then my husband takes a frozen one to work each day. At lunchtime he wraps it in a couple paper towels then wets it and microwaves it for 5 mins at 70% power. Make sure it’s completely covered with wet paper towel or that part will get hard. I’ve been making him these for years. $25 for 30 lunches!

@The Aussie Family she didnt share too much of the pregnancy because of the karens comments of "you need to think of women who lost their babies. To share just hurts them". Becky, are just about the prettiest mother-to-be ever! I can watch your channel all day. I am going to learn to cook from my garden next year just like you! What I love the most is that you make everyone feel just like family. You are young enough to be my daughter, but you inspire me! I bought those reusable bags because of your videos. Love, love, love them. Thanks for everything

There are some copper pans a Walmart that work really well in cooking eggs in that the don't stick. also I found that cooking eggs at a low to medium temp works best for me in getting the constancy that I want. Which is a soft scramble.

I started pressure cooking my potatoes and it has been a game changer! It says that you need a half to a cup of water, so I use veg or chicken broth and when the potatoes are done I mash it with the broth! It gives it an extra depth of flavor and you don't really need to add milk to it to make it creamy. Good to know if you happen to be out of milk in the house! I also add some whole garlic cloves and diced onions with the potatoes. They get mashed in with the potatoes nicely eith no clumps!

These are so great to have in your freezer for after the baby is born, congratulations! As for cooking eggs in cast iron or stainless steel, you will LOVE it! It's amazing to watch them not stick just as well as a Teflon pan. The key is HOT pan and COLD oil! Heat the pan dry, put the oil in and quickly spread, then pour in the eggs onto the cold oil and turn the heat down. Scrape in from the edges, and it won't stick. I do this with fried eggs as well, crack them all into a bowl with pepper (no salt until cooking), then pour them into the hot pan with cold oil, turn the heat down, and gently cut the whites around each yolk until it's set enough to flip. You can turn the heat down more and use a lid for sunny side up fried eggs, too. Good luck, they are great tools when the technique is right!

@@melbee1000 Becky said that she had just been released for the second time after spending two days in the hospital. She had been having trouble with her blood pressure, which was better and a spinal headache that was very painful. I think that was about it.

Also tip is to use the pop up parchment sheets that you can get at sam's club to wrap your freezer burritos and sandwiches in. They thaw great in them. Just popped them wrapped in the microwave.

Becky, the reason your potatoes are sprouting is because you store them close to your onions. The games from the onions hasten the potatoes sprouting! Hope this helps!

I’m guessing you’re very happy you prepared all of these meals and videos so that you could enjoy your new baby with your family. I look forward to hearing your birth story (if you share it) and your upcoming gardening plans! Congratulations again!!

When I watched you draining your potatoes it made me think of something I learned a few years ago. Now that all pipes are plastic it's a good idea to run cold water when you are draining boiling water out of pans. It helps the wear & tear on them. I love the idea of freezing breakfast burritos. I have never done that before.

I did my Thanksgiving mashed potatoes in my instant pot and it worked great! Left more room on the stove. And I got them done early, but then used the *keep warm* setting and they stayed nice and hot for dinner! Hope you and baby are doing well!!!

I like to make scrambled eggs in the oven. Put about 1/4 cup butter in a 9x13 pan and put it in the oven while preheating it to 350. Scramble a dozen eggs with some milk and pepper and salt. When the butter is melted and the oven is hot, pour in the egg mixture. Bake 10 minutes, then stir. Bake another 10 minutes and stir again. Repeat to your desired doneness, bearing in mind that they will carry-over cook when removed from the oven, so take them out when they're a little under-done.

I’m sure your loyal followers, me being one, will completely understand and want you to take how ever much time you need before you start filming again especially since you had some complications. What’s most important is that you rest, recover and enjoy this very precious time with baby acre and Josh. ❤️God Bless you all.

Hey Becky . Anytime you want to reduce the saltiness in a dish that has a sauce (like the pork here) simply cut up a raw potato into 1 inch cubes and simmer them in the pot with the salty meal for about 10-15 minutes. Take the potato pieces out and compost them because they will have absorbed some of the excess salt.
