Recently, DC Comics revealed that the Joker is actually THREE different people. It was a HUGE deal for the comics, but the question I have is whether that can also apply to the movies... And now, with the release of Suicide Squad, how does Jared Leto's Joker fit in to the mix? As the fourth live action Joker, is Suicide Squad's Joker a brand new entity or is he simply the continuation of one of the past Jokers we've seen before? To everyone upset about all the two-parters: Any time a video's script is over five pages long (which ends up being a video 22+ minutes), it becomes a two-parter so that I have the time to cover everything necessary while protecting the sanity of the editors and ensuring that I get an episode out on a regular basis. In this case, since so much of the theory hinges on a history of comics, I needed to take a lot of time up front to ensure everyone was on the same page regarding the evolution of the Joker. *I'm just trying to do the theories justice by being as thorough as possible. And with franchises like this, there's A LOT to cover!*

I have a theory about that, since we can’t bring heath ledger and ceaser Romero back from the dead and Jared Leto is the gold jack nicholsin I assume that the new joker 2019 is suppose to be heath ledger and they’re gonna probably make a silver age one ceaser Romero replacement where he’s less violent and uses the most ridicules weapons like the comics so then we have gold silver and bronze that’s my theory the 3 jokers we just need our third one and if we do get another joker then my theory is valid

Hey Matpat. I had an interesting idea for a theory. It revolves around the universe of Avatar (both the last airbender and legend of korra). Not the characters themselves, but the physics around them. If you're familiar with the series, you'll know that certain people of each nation have the power to bend one of the 4 elements: Fire, Water, Earth and Air. Certain users of these elements can bend other elements which correspond with their own element. For example; Water benders can become blood benders, earth benders can become metal or lava benders, ETC. But my theory revolves around fire benders. Now certain fire benders can wield lightning and some can even create explosions. But what if there's no such thing as a fire bender, but an energy bender!? Now I know that in AtLoK Korra can bend pure energy in the avatar state, but that's not what I'm getting at. I'm talking about heat or light energy. Now for fire to exist, there has to be three substances available: Heat, Oxygen, and a fuel. Now fire benders probably don't produce all three of these things. They wouldn't produce oxygen just to burn it instantly. So obviously, the oxygen is all around them. And in the avatar universe, fire bending is the only element without substance, but it comes from the "chii" within the body. My guess is that the chii supplies the fuel for the fire. It's worth noting that all people have chii in the avatar universe, not just elemental benders. But the only thing left is heat, and that's where the fire bender's abilities come into play. They don't create fire on the spot, but rather produce heat and have the other elements of the substances needed to produce fire. But if they only produce heat, then how do they produce lightning and explosives? The answer is that they don't actually produce fire, nor heat, but energy. I've just went over how they produce heat energy. But It seems that some of them can produce electrical energy (to create lightning) and kinetic energy (to create explosives). But does the limit to their power and range of abilities stop there? If they could harness light energy, could they bend unstable laser beams!? If they could harness sound energy, could they create sonic booms!? Matpat, If you covered this topic, it would make me a really happy 14 year old boy who just covered different energies in chemistry last year! Please cover this as my fingers are almost sore from typing it! LOL! When I was a kid my brother had a compilation of Bob Kane's Bat man, the actual originals, and I loved the original Joker. The Golden age Joker who was a criminal master mind. Point was that he was insanely smart and a serial killer. He placed TNT on the Clapper of a bell so that when it rolled, the tower would explode and drop debris onto the civilians below.

It’s theorized that Jared’s Joker, is really Jason Todd, (The second Robin) after being kidnapped, tortured, and brainwashed by the real Joker. Of course though, in the movie Batman Beyond: Joker returns, and Batman the animated series season 4, the creators switched names between Jason Todd and Tim Drake (The third Robin.)
