That other vehicle is kinda cool. I have actually never heard of that show. And as far as your documentary....thats a tough question. Maybe it comes down to your overall goal of the project? Was the video more so for you or for the TMNT community?

I'm trying to remember what show I mentioned in the video now. haha.

Put it on youtube! Keep your properties, you having control is the only to protect your content.

KZbin all day. I know you want it big but having control of all the footage is worth so much more!

Yea, I've got a few other things being optioned. Turtles just isn't a huge market for a nationwide or worldwide documentary.

@TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesTube With proper marketing, do you think you could earn the same amount by doing it yourself? For example, the mini series you could make from the extra footage, the youtube shorts, plus the actually documentary. I feel like without to much "extra" work you would have a lot of extra content for the build up to the release of the documentary and then follow up with bonus content to ride the wave. Just a few thoughts 🤷🏻♂️

Yea, I think this documentary would be a tough sell to a major streamer. It would end up on a small streamer and not get seen. Not bring in as much revenue and I’d have to split it with the people who are currently trying to purchase it. Doing it on youtube I make all the money.

Honestly if it was me, I would put it on KZbin. Because if I sold it to someone and they told me That I couldn't do anything else with what I spent so much effort on creating, I would just tell them to get lost. Again that's just me. Just let your heart tell you what to do dude.

That's how it works though.

Maybe see if you can retain the rights to the additional footage you had plans for using in mini projects and just sell the finished/edited documentary? Hard to pass up a sure thing but I could see it being hard to let go of ownership. But it’s still something to add to your portfolio that you created even if someone else gets it out there. Eastman sold his rights then laird in 09 but they’re still forever the fathers of the turtles. Best of luck whichever direction you decide on!

That vehicle is pretty sweet! I know it’s a cash grab but I still think it’s interesting to discover repurposed figures, playsets, vehicles, etc. Seems like it was more prevalent in that time period. Tough decision with your project! I think as a creator, of anything, you would want to keep as much ownership over your material as possible. I’m sure that could be next to impossible the closer to any mainstream exposure you want to get to. Like you alluded to too, there could even be the chance it never sees the light of day if it’s in someone else’s hands. I guess it may come down to how personal the attachment is to this project. It’s pretty obvious the topic and relationships it’s rooted in are close to you, but is this doc just another project or something that you think will be something you’ll always cherish?

This is exactly why I never started collecting any vehicles from the TMNT line - the majority of toys had absolutely no connection to the comic (Mirage ) or tv series but were just released to further drain your pockets. They were then re-purposed for other toy lines (e.g. Toxic Crusaders ). Having said that, I'd dearly love the Technodrome and Foot Cruiser - don't suppose these were re-released as part of the Chicken Run line (Waterworld / Avatar......)?!!!!!

How much of your heart is already invested in the TMNT project? What are the terms of the sale? Is the money enough for you to walk away from it? Is there a dollar value which would make it easy to walk away from it? I'll say what I said before in another video... Follow your heart.

Well, this is likely not helpful, but do what's best for you. As a viewer, I'd love for it to hit youtube and I'd get see all the extra stuff, etc. I understand deciding what's best for you is easier said than done but at the end of the day, it's your baby. I'll be happier when finally seeing it, knowing you were happy with how it was put out.

KZbin with a donation button. Plus you can post lots of behind the scenes content.

If you do the indie circuit, do it for yourself. Enjoy it and dont even worry about getting it picked up. Not to mention all the new followers and engagement for your other videos and the ability for those other channels to send traffic your way just to watch the documentary.

As a content creator, you got to go where the cash and visibility currently are. It seems like KZbin currently offers you both, plus control of your unused footage. Congrats on getting your documentary completed! That's no small feat. My only other thought is to get an April O'Neil cosplayer for some clickbait thumbnails. LoL
