I recently checked out PHINEAS AND FERB, and it's actually way better than I expected. But one thing stuck out to me above all the show's idiosyncrasies: Why hasn't Dr. Doofenshmirtz been arrested? He's obviously a villain, and his plans are so easy to thwart. Well, Loyal Theorists, I've uncovered the answer: Doofenshmirtz is unwittingly helping the OWCA the whole time!

Doof is also basically getting free therapy. Everytime he makes an inator and Perry comes to destroy it, Perry lets himself get captured and waits until Doof lets all his pain out, and then foils his plans. Most backstories he’s shared, never get brought back up when making another inator. With Perry’s help (if that’s what Dan and Swampy intend), Doof is (VERY) little by little getting over his past.

We know it’s not at all though. The O.W.C.A. Files take place after the original show, and before the events of Milo Murphy’s Law, this was confirmed by the creator. Not sure why but when this video came out that fact wasn’t clear yet.

It’s said throughout the show that Perry is the best in his field, and it’s shown he’s pretty skilled, which makes you wonder while watching why he’s fighting Doof, because he isn’t really evil. This explanation makes sense, because they’d probably only intrust their best agent with the mission (Also I saw a comment saying that Perry was like Doof’s support animal to help with his childhood trauma, and I think that’s also a good explanation)

Realizing, if they sent another agent there's no doubt they wouldn't even lay a hand on Doof, probably, because of how some of his inventions could really fucked up a person if they are hit with it. only reason Perry is still okay is that he's flexible to doge, fast to react and insanely lucky that even after being hit a minute later he's reverted to normal

There is also this one thing in Milo Murphy's law SPOILER . . . . . . . . . Doof is Profesor Time (not sure if thats his name in English version) so he invented time travels, interdimesional travels and in every episode he invents something new. He is brilliant scientist and inventor. Some of his inventions could actually save lives if used in that way. The whole future depends on him inventin time travels as we see with Cavendish and Dakota. When they meet him they are surprised that he is Profesor Time, but at the end of the day he is the one who saves them from apocalypse. Here the mutated plant's invasion. And in Phineash and Ferb it was with that place that if you go into or throw something into everyone forgets about it's existence. (Their parents litterally forgot about EVER having any children) And who figured it out and fixed it? DOCTOR HEINZ DOOFERSMITHS a little too long, I know Sorry. _.

Another THEORY: Perry is the mastermind behind the "coincidental" and "lucky" disappearances of all Phineas and Ferb's inventions. Perry always finds a way to use Doof's inventions to do this, every single time Phineas and Ferb build something. Which is why he always comes home right after the inventions have disappeared. (Very convenient) . But overall, this could be another reason why the OWCA hasn't arrested Doof. Perry needs to remain Phineas and Ferbs pet, in order to have a foster home, so he can keep spying on Doof. Thus Perry has to prevent Phineas and Ferb from being busted. Its all a cycle of benefit. But Doofs inventions are the key in all of this. And Doof is actually the hero.

Fun Fact: the average cartoon has 52 episodes, since each episode has 2 parts, that would be 104 parts, and since each part takes place on a different day, that is 104 days, which is why the theme song says "104 days" but after the original 52 episodes the series got approval for more episodes so this doesn't make very much sense

Nope, that’s actually the reason it’s 104 days. The typical Disney Channel series at the time ran for two 26 episode seasons plus a few odd specials, and the creators assumed originally that Phineas and Ferb would be the same (and that they would do a few episodes where there was only one story done in two parts), which balances out to the 104 days. They were obviously wrong as it went for four seasons including four specials, plus two movies and a post-series extra, but they just decided to keep the original opening in spite of this.

This show is so good at subverting their own formula that they even have a scene dedicated to literally showing you Phineas putting on his shirt. Something I noticed when I rewatched the series is that in the second part of Phineas and Ferbs Last Day of Summer, Doof says I give up evil, so Vanessa can be accepted by OWCA’s internship program and still live with him, the Owca files are not canon as far as we know as it was supposed to be a different show but it never aired, and for my last thing, in the episode Doof 101 he would’ve been sent to jail by a judge but he had the option to teach at a high school and in the episode Act Your Age we see he’s still a high school teacher and took the evil branding off his building and I’m 99% sure that episode is canon because in the final song of Last Day of Summer Phineas talks about how Isabella and him kissed and said, “You just wait 10 years”
