Just an added detail: This may mean that from Vader's perspective Ahsoka was there and then she wasn't, she vanished into thin air and he never saw her again. This may explain why he wasn't altogether unsettled when Obi Wan Kenobi did the exact same thing to him on The Death Star in A New Hope. He had seen this before and took it to mean that he would never see his Old Master again.

Having grown up on the Expanded Universe (Legends), I really like this theory in regards to the sequel trilogy. I grew up with Luke raising a reborn order and teaching his nephews and niece; the twins Jason and Jaina Solo, and their younger brother Anakin Solo. Of the New Republic growing and finding some peace with the Imperial Remnant. Of Thrawn's masterful attack on the New Republic. Of the horrors of the Vong war, and the terrors that followed. Of Luke marrying Mara Jade and eventually having a son, Ben Skywalker. The Expanded Universe was a massive universe that was just so much more Star Wars than the sequel trilogy. A powerful Luke, Leia with a presence and history to rival Padme's, and their children carrying their parents' and grandparents' legacies. Even Jacen Solo's fall, a terrifying echo of his grandfather's, was well done; far better than Ben Solo's fall.

If she ensures that the force remains balanced: well, Anakin trained her, so it's not undermining Anakin's work, but rather is an extension of it. It can’t be at that moment Ezra pulls her out alone. The key would be how Ahsoka CLOSES the WBW so play is never able to use it

I very much doubt that Harrison Ford would be willing to once again take part in the "new sequels" since he was already done with playing Solo after Force Awakens (and it was him who literally said to JJ Abrams "'Either you kill Han or I won't be there at all"... and he revealed that he tried to pressure Lucas to kill his character in RoTJ. Of course, Carrie's death would as well force great changes to the lore (it's however kind of doable via creating an off-screen reason for her absence)... but I seriously doubt that we will see anything in the scope of the movie which would go against sequels... as long as current Disney leadership will remain in power...

I've been thinking about this for so long. I am a big fan of Rebels and watched every episode when it came out. I could tell they were hinting at a few things, especially after watching the last season of Clone Wars, Bad Batch, then considering the sequel trilogy, the things all seem to come together, as you detail here. I'm of the thought, as well, that it is never confirmed that Ahsoka would have died. We assume that Vader was going to strike that blow, but her death is never 100 % confirmed after. That's probably a stretch, but still, watching Rebels again this past weekend, it seems like the Ahsoka death is being setup as the "way out" from the sequel trilogy.

I came back and rewatched this video after the Book of Boba Fett has finished airing, unfortunately I think that the events of the show may deconfirm this alternate world theory. As much as I would like it to be real, with Grogu’s choice in BoBF it opens the door again to Grogu being taken by the Empire at a later date to create Snoke. We’ll have to see how it all plays out, but it is a possibility that corporate Disney pushed Filoni to trash the alternate world theory with the new show. I’m a bit of a conspiracy theorist I guess for that, but I wouldn’t put it past Disney.

It never was, If the creator of the story denies somehting then it never happened in the story. Regardless of what others say, Star wars was made by George Lucas and was born in his head. Lucas didn’t approve of the Sequels and therefore the sequels aren’t canon.

I would've liked this to be true sadly the lynchpin is that Grogu had actually stayed with Luke and become his first student. Sadly, without directly spoiling anything Book of Boba Fett proves that is not the case. I still wanna believe this theory is true because it would make the new Star Wars content far more palatable, but as it stands the evidence is now far less substantial.

Even without Grogu staying with Luke, it seems that Gideon's imperial remnant was the only one that knew about Grogu. With Gideon imprisoned, probably executed by the new republic and his remnant defeated, it seems unlikely that Grogu will end up back in Imperial hands.
