Final Victory In The Battle Against ISIS Is In Sight | Collapse of the Caliphate

From gun trenches in the hills overlooking the Syrian town of Baghuz, US-backed Kurdish and Arab fighters known as the Syrian Democratic Forces or SDF rain down automatic weapons fire on what’s left of the Islamic State caliphate.
After being driven out of Mosul in 2017, ISIS has been pushed back - mile-by-mile, through fierce fighting - from nearly all the territory it used to control in Syria into a tiny patch of land on the Euphrates river near the border with Iraq.
SDF commanders like Adnan Afrin say the full territorial victory they’ve spent years fighting for is finally now in sight: “this sprawling organization that stunned the world has crumbled and is close to being defeated. It's been painful, and difficult - from the day Isis started to this moment...but it's ending now.”
The SDF advance has been slowed by the number of women and children that have streamed out of ISIS-controlled areas since the bombardment started. More than 60,000 people have left during the course of the siege.
On Wednesday, SDF officials said they were in control of most of the encampment with just a small group of ISIS fighters left inside, surrounded and outnumbered. But from rooftops on the outskirts of Baghuz, SDF snipers continue to take out targets, while 50-caliber machine guns rain down fire from above and US jets patrol the skies overhead.
The battle is almost over, but for now ISIS fighters are still refusing to stop clinging on to their last tiny piece of territory.

*Yo!* Just want to put this here~ (๑¯ω¯๑) If by now you're still sayin' Islam is a cruel religion, boring, or something, then we all know that you either a jerk, a troll, or you do really mean it but actually, you only speak nonsense because you'd not say that if you've done your research lol. This religion is more toward "the way of life" etc. Oh and, you know.. if you guys somehow want to know the simple truth, "what's what and why's" or, well.. just bored lol see this video. @@forwardobservations8222 It's not a contest. It takes courage to carry a gun, kill, fight everyday. It also takes courage to go to these places that are unfamiliar, count on people you don't even know to protect you and to be smart in their movements, and NOT to carry a gun or other type of self defense tool. That is also courage, it's also courageous to carry a camera instead of a gun - to stick your head out from behind a wall to get a good shot. It's all crazy.

That must be what it felt like to be a GI/Brit/Canuck/Frenchi crossing the Rhine or for a Soviet closing in on Berlin. Strange times we're living in, but at least less people are dying about it. Imagine being a Kurd, Yazidi, or Arab closed in and surrounded in your hamlet - squished up against the border to Turkey with the wolves breathing down your neck and lobbing mortars on your head, thoughts of your family in your head "did they make it past the border checkpoint in time?" Fighting for your life - hoping your American air support drops the bomb on the enemy for once. Now imagine a few years later, going from the arid mountains to the dusty riverlands, following the Euphrates all the way, nipping at the heels of the enemy who would've destroyed you. The roles are now reversed and the end is in sight, after long hard years of degradation and the long - but welcome - years of recovery ahead - not sure if some new enemy might present themselves once Daesh is dead. Now imagine that, but dying in the last few days of the last battle after traveling that long road. Fuckin' a.

I am still afraid for the fact that it takes the whole world to fight ISIS... After many years you said that you're close to defeating them. This is very scary....this means they are determined and they're very strong. They might regroup when are getting tire....

It’s really sad and scary to think back in the 1950s and 60s that these people and these countries although had problems were modern in the sense that they didn’t dress and act like they would have thousands of years ago. Then it all changed when the radicals took control and forced ancient beliefs and ideologies on the civilians. I hope in my lifetime that they can get back to a state of stability but that’s like hoping for world peace, it’s probably never happen.... sadly
