Hey guys, so cool seeing your build. I sent my l28 for a full rebuild 9 months ago and it's finally almost done now. Seeing your video makes me much more anxious to get mine back!

Did you kinda go the same route I did with the engine?

Clutch throw out collar has to match the style of clutch finger plate. 240 style has fingers that stick out towards the gearbox. 280 Z style clutch plate fingers sit flush. So the longer collar matches the flush style and the shorter collar matches the stick out fingers. Make sense? Has nothing to do with gearbox or motor has everything to do with clutch finger style. The Z has three lengths. But one is sort of uncommon.. so you have a long or short collar. For anyone watching " never lead/ tell any, Service Shop, your car is a project ,or side thing.. Make them think, you need your parts back ,Tomorrow! Or they will push it aside, call every Friday to check on your parts. ( If you don't, they push it to the side, and do the guys parts, that calls every week, checking on their parts) Dont think your being a Pain in the Ass.. Your making, the Shop ,respect you, for checking every week.! Also show up, in person, so they just don't, blow you off on the phone. Don't be Mister Nice Guy! Be business like ! Show up at random times, not every week the same time, ask to see your parts ( see if any work has been done!) Number one rule ,don't pay any money up front for labour "NONE ! Or you will get screwed!!! And lose Respect from Shop! Last ask when parts will be ready, and keep showing up randomly. Business is Business. You can be a nice guy when you have your parts back " not until " it's all business. Guys great to see the motor, HOME and in its HOME ! Your Japanese Ferrari, the Samurai Warrior has a NEW HEART !! Now it's time for an MFactory LSD . Just bolts in. And maybe a final drive gear, for more pep, and the " Long Sword" is complete ! For more Smiles, than past years in your Z ! Now it's a real " redline 280Z " And you won't be jealous of the twin turbo Z as they loose value soon as they drive off the lot! And your Z will be rising every year you own it! It already appreciated in value ALOT in past two years ! But " we don't care about that, we just love a Kick Ass Car !

Looking great guys, you are right ahead of me on my l28 rebuild. I appreciate the content and if you could keep recording a few extra moments while installing…rookies like myself would appreciate it. 🤘🏼 Ps What pulley brand did you go with?

We'll try to improve on recording the installation bits. The crank pulley is from professional products

@@Redline280zChannel that’s what I figured, they’ve been out of stock for a couple of months now though 😅 Any issues installing it?

is your clutch throwout sleeve compatible with that new clutch kit and trans? i remember doing a lot of research on hybridz when i put a zx 5 speed in my 280z since you could run into issues where your throwout bearing isnt traveling far enough to disengage the clutch, theres like 4 different throwout sleeves from what i remember and they all had different lengths

Yeah I've read that I may need to use a 240z sleeve. Everything seems identical in my case though. We'll see how it goes

@@Redline280zChannel So so fun. Just moved out to SEA from Montana in 2020, and I've always used my dad's garage for tools so I'm sort of just waiting on that first. You don't realize how important ramps, jack stands and an engine hoist/cherry picker are until you don't have them hahaha. Thankfully I have shop space, just need to fill 'er up. Soon though. Soooooon. Watching your content makes me super pumped to get going on my car.
