@@KSRPerformanceFabrication Hey Kevin, a couple things I've been thinking about on burnout cars is do you think front independent handbrakes would help you steer when doing burnouts and how much cooling could you add by making coolant hoses out of aluminum and welding fins on them like on a hot water baseboard heater? I think the fins could add a significant amount of cooling especially on a car with a rear mounted radiator and the handbrakes would allow the car to pivot on one tire.

Oh come on man, I had a 77 and it was the fastest thing I have ever driven at that time, well, I should mention it was my first car, so it really was the fastest thing I have ever drove at that time. He He He. It was a nice riding car though.

"fall out of a tree fast",, I spewed my coffee on that one! Too damn funny,, BUT sadly it was true :) I had an '80 and even though it was a slug with it's 305 it got good mileage, the body styling was so nice and it rode like the preverbial (sp) Cadillac. I really liked the car but kept it only 3 or so years. You know what they say,, "I wish I could have kept that car" but truth is we had no space AND needed it as a trade in. Kevin will take this little Olds into the 7's,, we know that's where he's headed,, perhaps into the 6's. KSR and 'HIS' little OLDS FTW!

I have a 1968 350 small block Olds motor in my barn. It has never been machined, so plenty of meat for an overhaul. #5 heads, nodular iron crank, factory forged rods. Had around 65k miles on it when it was torn apart. If you're close to the north east Ohio area I'd like to sell it to somebody that will put it back on the road. Not sure I'll ever find a clean cutlass to put it in with my budget these days. Hate to see it rot away in my barn.

I love this. My first car was a 1993 Cutlass Ciera with a 3.3l V6. Not what anyone would really take to a track, but I still cut my teeth on mechanics with that thing. Drove that thing almost into the ground until one of the front struts shot through the hood.

Just a note on the forklift. Pedal on the left is not a clutch, it just kicks the transmission out so you can rev the motor to quickly lift the forks. You can drive it like an auto trans and your movement will be much smoother and more controlled, especially with an unbalanced load that high in the air. That being said, good job getting the car down. This is one instance where slow and steady wins!

I’ve said in early Mullet vids that I want to see you build a car for you exactly the way you feel it should be done. No customer requirements and wants. It’s awesome that it’s going to be an Olds engine. I’m definitely pro LS but it’s always refreshing when people stick with the manufacturers engines. Can’t wait to see a spicy Olds.

This is going to be a cool build. Not many still have their first car. My first was a 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie XL 500 with the 390 p-code. Way too much car for a 16 year old! It was originally my dad's county sheriff car bought brand new and he gave it to me 10 years later after some hard miles. It had the automatic transmission which had seen its better days, but I could stand on the brake and smoke the rear tires real good. And punch it real good from a standing stop. Your first car always has special memories.

I'm only a year older than you. I can think of 3 people that collectively had 4 of those types of car. They were awesome. Even representin with the 90s mags!
