I have to agree with whoever said it's not just about the makeup. I have watched you for soooo long. For me, there was a period of time where I went through some growing up and was becoming an adult and didn't watch KZbin as much as I had before but I always still made time to watch your videos or at least check on you social media because you've always been more of a internet friend to me rather than an influencer. I think that's what kept people coming back here. You're so much more than just a makeup artist to those of us OG viewers. We've watch you go through tough times like losing your dad and I remember watching the video then of you talking about the loss you experience and genuinely crying with my friend. You have always made me and I know so many others feel so special even though you don't know many of us personally. You have this way of making us feel like we have a friend and what we are going through in life, we are not alone in and that's why I love you so much.

In my darkest times, I always knew at least Kandee still loves me. I know that may sound silly but you’ve impacted more people than you know. Never stop being you, you’re a blessing to so many! I know social media can be hard and life in general can tear you apart sometimes but never EVER EVER doubt how special you are to us for all that you do! @@kandeejohnsonmy bestie and I have been with you since 2010 I think 💕. We miss you in long form. It’s not that I can’t watch long form content… it’s that it’s only enjoyable sometimes. Feel like there was a whole new generation of beauty kids that that made creators feel like we weren’t still very into long form content so people stopped creating it bc older beauty content consumers were still on short form content apps.. I would’ve deleted my Instagram if it meant, we still had beauty KZbin where you could see lots of creators new content. It’s that it doesn’t have the same kind of connection; it feels almost hollow or lackluster. You lose the personality when you only get 2 1/2 to 3 minutes to say two hours worth of filming stuff. Also like community member to community member the connection just basically doesn’t exist on short form content.

Hi Kandee, I don't know if you will ever read this but I wanted to say something. I hardly comment but I felt like I have to say something. I have watched you since I was 15 or 16. And I always looked forward to your videos. You and my mom have taught me a lot about makeup. And your videos have helped when I was in a really bad place. I would always watch your videos and you made me smile. My mom recently passed away and I am still devastated by it. It hurts. And before that my brother passed away. So its been ALOT to deal with. I'm 35 and I've been around here for about 10 years now, I'm not a KZbinr and I felt like I didn't fit in either when things changed and scandals started happening. I stopped watching all the beauty videos except for 2 or 3 channels that stayed with similar formats that I like. I'm too dang old for all the different apps, and I agree, I can only handle the short video format in small doses so I don't get too anxious. I don't do TikTok, so I watch reels on Facebook when I'm in the mood for a few short ones, and I like the longer videos here. I'm so excited to see you put out new content.
