I'm back! We're reunited on KZbin my sweet beauties! Let's get this life update party started! It's been too long since I've posted a long video on KZbin, so get ready to hang out with your girl for 27 minutes of life updates and me putting my makeup on! I'll be answering some of the most asked questions like: why I haven't been making KZbin videos, how my health is, what I've been working on, how old are the kids now, am I still in a relationship and all the questions you guys asked me on Instagram for this video!
I just want to say thank you so much for all of your love and support over the years. You guys are truly the reason I started KZbin over 14 years ago! I just wanted to teach people what I knew as a makeup artist and to be able to touch your lives has meant more that I can ever say. Each of you has been what has given me meaning to what I do and I feel so grateful to have such an amazing group of precious, precious people, who have lifted my heart more times than you know! I wish I could hug each and every one of you, right now!

I have to agree with whoever said it's not just about the makeup. I have watched you for soooo long. For me, there was a period of time where I went through some growing up and was becoming an adult and didn't watch KZbin as much as I had before but I always still made time to watch your videos or at least check on you social media because you've always been more of a internet friend to me rather than an influencer. I think that's what kept people coming back here. You're so much more than just a makeup artist to those of us OG viewers. We've watch you go through tough times like losing your dad and I remember watching the video then of you talking about the loss you experience and genuinely crying with my friend. You have always made me and I know so many others feel so special even though you don't know many of us personally. You have this way of making us feel like we have a friend and what we are going through in life, we are not alone in and that's why I love you so much.

@@kandeejohnson I remember hysterically crying with you when you hit your first 1 million subscribers on KZbin too & that video is still one of my favorites to watch because nobody on earth deserves it more than you. In my darkest times, I always knew at least Kandee still loves me. I know that may sound silly but you’ve impacted more people than you know. Never stop being you, you’re a blessing to so many! I know social media can be hard and life in general can tear you apart sometimes but never EVER EVER doubt how special you are to us for all that you do! I feel emotional watching this video. You were the first person who really influenced me. Till today, I drink this Norwegian fish oil, cut my t-shirts, and wash brushes with baby shampoo. I’m 38 now and I’ve been watching you since I was like 24. I had my daughter two years after Ellie was born and became a single mom. I NEEDED your videos to keep me going. I appreciated your positivity, faith, and talent. I could go on forever. I remember those early years of KZbin before influencers. You were THE FIRST “influencer” I’d ever followed. I looked up make up tutorials and you taught little 14 year old me how to do my make up, here I am 31 and I still do my makeup how you trained me.

Hi Kandee, I don't know if you will ever read this but I wanted to say something. I hardly comment but I felt like I have to say something. I have watched you since I was 15 or 16. And I always looked forward to your videos. You and my mom have taught me a lot about makeup. And your videos have helped when I was in a really bad place. I would always watch your videos and you made me smile. My mom recently passed away and I am still devastated by it. It hurts. And before that my brother passed away. So its been ALOT to deal with. Agreed!! I think she might feel discouraged that the space of the beauty industry/content creators has changed so much and I feel like she doesn’t feel relevant anymore because she doesn’t get the views she used to get back in the day. She never came out and said it verbatim but she said something along those lines a while back. I know she’s one of the greatest OG KZbinrs and she should be proud of that. She paved the way. I think she doesn’t think it’s fair she worked so hard to get where she’s at, and these tiktoker/beauty influencers can get millions of views with a stupid video that goes viral. Kandee - I'm a OG subbie was super excited when you popped up to watch, but man, you've reminded me how old i am - i was just over 30 when I found you, I've been with you since day 1 (the days of dial-up and modems) and remember and love sooooo much! I’ve watched your videos for so long and it was never even just about make up. I remember watching when you were having a home birth and sharing your life on here. I think you’ve always been this beautiful light that is so uplifting and genuine. I started watching in 2009 because i had just gotten engaged and started planning my wedding (celebrating 13 years married this fall!) I remember you getting burnt out on youtube but feeling so proud of you for all the other things you had going on in your life - literally making your dreams come true! Since you asked...My format of choice to watch videos is definitely still KZbin and am right there with you on the shorts - I prefer the longer form videos.
