When I was a salad girl many years back blue cheese dressing was basically just sour cream, dash of Tabasco, splash of Worcestershire sauce, and then the blue cheese as I recall. I'm fasting right now but will try this version. Thank you as I now have been enlightened with the use of hemp seeds as I just never had gotten around to trying them before...

I have never had tempeh before. It just looks weird so I haven’t bought it. Now I want to try it because I want to try this dressing. I would love to see a Caesar salad dressing as that’s the one I miss the most. Actually to be honest I haven’t really eaten salad in the past five years, because I don’t care for most plant-based dressings. Thank you so much! I voted for blue cheese. Will be making this after our honey mustard dressing runs out. I signed up for you 28 day program and the holiday one too. I loved the “crack” dressing but my hubby loves the honey mustard. I never thought I could get him to eat salads. But your program has been a game changer. The massaged kale is his favorite and he asks for or 2 or 3 times a week. We love all the ideas for the base salad. Best of all I’ve lost 6 pounds in two weeks! I can’t wait to see what the next dressing is. Hubby’s hoping for Ceasar😊

Before I became vegan in 1990 my favorite salad dressing was Green Goddess. Trader Joe's had a vegan dressing they call Green Goddess but it is not gluten free (at least it wasn't the last time I looked) and it wasn't even close to the Green Goddess I loved from Seven Seas. So I would love to see a version of this.

Is there a way to make a decent oil-free vinaigrette dressing?
@scottberger67284 жыл бұрын
Has your daughter's taste buds adjusted and that's why she likes the whole food over the oiled dressing, I wonder...But I think most people would choose daiya because "rich" "food" is rich and therefore good according to our wiring of seeking the most calorie dense foods in our evolution. Then again, there is too rich. (Too salty, too oily, too sweet). I like the tempeh crumble idea. That's above and beyond as I have been wanting a cheesy dressing and would be satisfied with that. . I think a lot of recipes call for crumbling tofu. Tempeh is a step up for sure. Did you crumble it out of the package? My understanding is steaming it for 10 to 15 minutes helps get rid of its bitterness but maybe bitter is what is needed in this recipe. Finally, no need to separate Kale from the cruciferous veggies as it is one. Kale is not alone, but definitely at the top of the list in overall general nutrition. But arugula would be better for heart patients (nitric oxide quantity and antioxidant values). I'll have to make this soon. I need something to replace trader joes almond turmeric dressing. So glad you used hemp. I find myself wanting to limit nuts in general aside from walnuts and sub with hemp chia and flax.

@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow To have 1T of finely diced tempeh available on a whim, we have to plan in advance. Maybe dice a block of tempeh and put 1T balls on a tray to freeze, and have a bag of them available for this dressing or to throw into soups or stews. I'll report back!

I just found this and I’ve been vegan for many years. I was really impressed with your information and how healthy you and your daughter look. However, the only concern I have is about soy and the GMO problem. I wish there was a way to test for glyphosates in the soy milk, etc. I know the soy crops are a problem. I have heard even the organic. I just wish they could be a third-party tested like they do supplements. What are your thoughts? Thanks :-)

I don’t worry that much about it. We don’t eat or drink a large amount of soy products. My belief is that you should focus on eating a wide variety of fruit and veggies, nuts and seeds so that our amazing bodies can have the means to heal and protect itself from free radicals and contaminants. 😋
