This is fantastic! I’ve been making “cheezy bakes” with it - covering cauliflower, romanesco, mushrooms, and purple potatoes with it and baking for 20 minutes. Delicious! I also add a Brazil nut (for the selenium) and a B12 tablet to the cheeze. Also, a few leaves of cilantro - it adds a nice “Mexicanness” to it. Yummy!

Fabulous recipe! I've been making this since I first discovered it. Great on veggies, especially stir fry or roasted veg. A quick wrap with left over rice & veg with this sauce... heaven! I have made it with oats instead, love the lower fat, not quite as creamy. Have also done half cashews, half oats. Eat it fast - spoils in about 1 week.

Update - I have also tried this with Garbanzos in place of cashews or oats. I still prefer the cashews for creamiest texture, but I'm certain they are the highest fat option. Always good to have options if you gotta have Jill's Cheese Sauce and a less than accommodating pantry!

I will say first that I have not yet tried YOUR recipe for this cheese sauce attempt. Been vegan eating for nearly a year now, loving it but ... I miss REAL CHEESE!!! I have been scouring the KZbins to find a suitable recipe for oh god, ANY cheese that tastes somewhat similar to what I am missing. Every time I try a new recipe I am left disappointed as the hosts continue to say: "this recipe tastes just like this or that kind of cheese." I make it, I eat it, it tastes NOTHING like the real cheese. Recently though, I FINALLY did find a recipe from the channel on KZbin "Yeung Man Cooking" where he made an alfredo cheese sauce that I made as well and it BLEW ME AWAY! It actually DID taste like real alfredo sauce. I was flabbergasted! So I have hope for others now. Lets see what you have here with this one. I just wish I had more money to spend on trial and error recipes, lol. Thank you soooo much for sharing your recipes with us Jill. I know it may seem like a thankless job but I watch your recipe videos all the time and I know what it takes to cook.
