i believe it was a concious choice on pinkie's part to give herself retroactive chaos magic, the reason nothing happened to cozy is because she never learned to control chaos magic, and pinkie clearly did.

Good theory and all, it definitely can stand its ground... Buuuut pinkies "Pinkie Sense" is more like Spider Sense in a way... Where she can tell something bad is gonna happen, but she doesn't exactly know WHAT will happen, so trying to tie it to her being outside of time is a bit of a stretch... While her and discord do seem to operate on similar levels, Pinkies abilities seem to only be limited to doing stuff that benefit her... While discord can practically do anything he wants to any one he wants... I do agree pinkie has some form of Chaos Magic, I wouldn't pin it all on one simple moment where she was linked to discords own magic.

There's one problem though when the cutie Mark cresadors where asking about cutie marks it has a flash back to before she moved out of the rock farm and she wasn't magical and chaoctick at all and there are times when she acks the opiset of how she usely dose and then she looses her pink and seems to lose pinkie sence and is not magical at all.

If you think about it the future and past are occurring during the same timespan but in different frames. The reason pinkie got color must have been because in an alternate universe pinkie must have had absorbed it from a young age and as we learned from starlight what happens in one universe affects the other. Future twilight warned herself and that caused twilight to sneak into celestias castle. After twilight did the same. This shows every universe in mlp is going on different time frames and the same events are getting replayed over and over again. And i agree pinkie loses her chaos sometimes its because the chaos she absorbed was not enough to keep her chaotic even during the times she was sad so it activates only in her happy moments. When that is taken into consideration sawtoothes theory is credible

I really like your theory. Even if she didn't get her magic like that; i believe that there is some sort of magic that she possesses, letting her to sense danger or play with the rules of nature. And i do think that maybe she possesses a little chaos magic, obviously not as much as Disscord (i mean he is *the spirit of chaos* ) That would explain why even though she has chaos magic, she couldn't handle Discord's.... or couldn't she? I mean, she got kind of crazy with her idea of "the new cosmos she would make" and she got kind of dictating Lol but she didn't seem to be "unable to control the magic" like Cozy Glow. Even though we didn't get enough time to see if she could make it true, the magic seemed to associate with her mind, as you can see in the background: 2:36 (You know, flying cupcakes and everything Lol) Althogh, i might be wrong, of course.

Pinkie Pie is just like that, there's no explanation and that's because there is one mistake in your theory, in the episode "Its About Time" Twilight goes to Pinky to ask her to show her what's gonna happen by using her Pinkie sense, when Pinkie Pie says and I quote "My fortune telling has nothing to do with my pinkie sense silly, ITS ONLY GOOD FOR VAGUE AND IMMEDIATE EVENTS" Which further proves my point that that's just how pinkie pie is.

There are some truly wild and sensless theories in these comments. JEEZ. Okay first, Cozy Glow wasnt unaffect by the magic because of her age. That is the most ridiculous thing i have ever read. If we are talking about magic traversing a timeline, it would not matter the pony's age. Okay, thats out of the way. The theory in this video is an interesting one, but I think Cozy Glow debunks is instantly. Cozy couldnt handle the magic despite being pretty dang powerful herself, yet Pinkie took it in no problem. I assume its because shes already get her own chaos magic and her being is used to it. It wasn't like an overflow of power... she straight up harnesses that magic instantly. This tells me it's already in her, and that it was the large amount all at once on top of her own reserve that caused her to lose herself. She also recoved quite quickly. It makes far more sense that she is just a special god being that is capable of wiping out the entire universe is she wishes.

@@CapturingHalfTwice I should specify I was referring to your beginning point "There are some truly wild and senseless theories here" Your theory itself was good but calling other theory's wild or senseless when discussing magic of a being who's existence defies order and relies on chaos is kinda strange. Discord is the lord of chaos. In the episode "Keep Calm and Flutter On" we see his existence relies on chaos- he cannot live if he is normal. In almost every episode he's in his feats of magic defy logic one prime example is "The Return Of Harmony" where discord: spawns a glass, fills the glass with chocolate milk raining from a cotton candy cloud, drinks the glass instead of the chocolate milk, then discards it causing a loud explosion. There is no order or method; he'll sacrifice the fate of the world to boost a person's confidence... That's just how chaotic he is. His magic has no order, so maybe one time a person's age could have an effect, maybe there magic gets spread across the timeline, maybe it spreads into every dimension... There's no order so it's practically limitless.

@DefineObsessed-528 well, I was referring to theories that people had regarding why it wouldn't affect Pinkie and Cozy the same because of their age difference, or how it would effect pinkies entire timeline, and spread to her sister. There's just no basis for it. Sure, the magic itself is chaotic, but it would likely still have some consistency with how it effects ponies. Plus, for the sake of plausibility, I think adhering as close to the show as possible is the best bet. It certainly seems silly to start throwing out wild reasons why Cozy Glow couldn't handle Discord's magic. I am a firm believer that Pinkie was able to because she's already a VERY chaotic being.
