I can get "Don't forget to" - "Drink your Ovaltine" display on my Oneplus 3T using the KZbin app with an Amoled screen when using CF. Lumen. With Cf. lumen (and other similar apps, that might require root), I can adjust all color values of the "night mode" filter, so that I can even turn all pixels off (RGB values all zero). Furthermore; I know some manufacturers also add the same kind of display control to their phones, which does the exact same thing. With cf. lumen it is possible to do the same, at least on rooted devices and amoled displays. Oneplus 3T's normal display brightness settings don't go low enough. Here is a screen cap: (no there isn't because apparrently the integrated screen cap takes it without the filter.)

On mobile, if you tap the screen when the pause and play button appear, it dims the screen and clearly shows the writing. So, It's pretty easy to find if you accidentally go to pause it on the white parts. Ovaltine is like Milo. You mix it with milk to make a chocolate drink. Best hot or cold. Enjoy

Do people never use the youtube app? when the video ends, youtube app adds a low opacity grey overlay on the last frame of the video, so that just made the text "to drink your ovaltine" to appear. Why do you guys have to change colour settings with 3rd party apps to see that?

Clearly readable on Windows 10 with HDR on at my LG OLED 55B6. When i disable HDR i can't see it. Also its not readable on screenshots when HDR is on, but they are broken there anyways. (They are generally way too bright.)

I think I figured out how you were actually supposed to solve it, there was a video you posted about color going above 100 LRE or whatever it was and you used the same clip there and here to demonstrate it, the message is at 102 LRE as you said in another comment, so we were supposed to use the clip to link the idea of checking LRE above 100

If it helps at all, I couldn't see this on youtube with my PC or phone, as well as after downloading it and viewing it in WMP. I only noticed the letters after viewing it in Sony Vegas because it defaults to sRGB view transform.

I had to open it with VLC Player (easy to open videos off the internet quick, without having to download this video) and lower the contrast with the video player to get the message. Doing that with the monitor itself doesn't work at all. It's an old Dell E228WFP, if that matters.

So here’s the weirdest thing. It shows up fine for me on the lowest device brightness (I think this is because my lowest device brightness actually dims the pixel values, not just the backlight). But if I pause, after about 5 seconds the message disappears. If I tap to open the pause menu again, it reappears and won’t disappear for another five seconds (even if I tap again to close the pause menu). So strange and seems to be different than what happens for other people in the comments

I'm on mobile. The message pretty much just showed up completely by itself when the video ended as the video player automatically dimmed as it does for every video. There was *LITERALLY* no effort on my part. I saw the message before I could even scroll down to the comments section lol I am on a cheap Umidigi Power which uses an LPTS display panel. It's a surprisingly good screen but with fairly low contrast I think. I checked on my old S6 Edge+ (Super AMOLED) and it was entirely invisible.
