Depends, my fiancee works at a Costco and there store pushes the Cashiers to make sure it's number cards equal to number of memberships, to try and drive more memberships

I buy two costco rotisserie chickens every week and cut it up myself. Takes a few minutes, but saves a lot of $$ over the pre-pulled one.

The s’mores Anabar is my personal favorite. It’s in my opinion the least peanut buttery tasting one. The monster cookie crunch works the flavor in really well though! I spent way too much money there on the Black Friday sale 😅 I’m a big fan of doing cardio at home too. I have a tv mounted on my wall in front of my treadmill, shout out to Paul Revelia for that genius idea 😂 I’m looking forward to road to ripped again! Best series on KZbin!

I've had the exact same experience at Costco here in Canada. I went with a friend of mine who has aa Costco membership card and wanted a few things for myself. I couldn't pay with debit with her membership unless I had cash only. It was very upsetting. I mean, I get that they're trying to push their membership onto other ppl but we're still paying for our items regardless. I just want to say I understand yours and Perri's frustration.

If the Costco member is nearby then I don't see what the issue would be, especially if you guys were married. Cashier could've asked too where you were, but if you're not nearby that just holds the line. Costco rules specifically state only members can use the card, but still a lot of cashiers have common sense and allow family members to use it if they see them in the line as well.

I used to work at Costco and my Costco was super strict on the same card as the card holder. Sometimes you can get lucky and get a cashier that’s doesn’t care but that’s pretty standard. Some cashier’s are nice about it and others can be total dicks.

Costco doesn't care if you came in together. why should they? it's not Costco being rude. you are making up rules that you think makes sense to you only. it just makes sense to only allow card holding members to purchase from them. you can add additional card holders from your family too. let's be reasonable. customers don't get to do whatever they want and the company has to comply. It's a fairly reasonable practice to tie every purchase to a membership card. It's great if they allow exceptions but it's by no means some outrage if they don't. People get embarrassed when their demands are rejected. that's understandable. Maybe a solution to that is to not demand retail places to cater to your every whim and wish. just ask and if they say that's not their policy, minor inconvenience. far cry from Costco being rude.
