what a great video. Love buying and selling gold and silver. nothing better than finding gold with no marks. I spent $105 for broken jewelry and sold the gold/silver for $350 in 24 hours

The profit margins on jewelry specifically gold and watches is ridiculous and thats why i go straight for it when available.Thanks for watching and supporting the channel Thrift Daddy

Rex Erection you need to form a relationship with a refinery or someone who buys gold. If you source enough gold then you can sell direct to the refinery. Everyone pays different prices for gold. Wants you establish a relationship with a buyer you will get a understanding of how much they pay for gold and then you will be able to buy with confidence. If you want me to fully explain email me at resellerrockefeller@gmail.com

Glad you are in Florida I don't need the competition lol. I buy the same type of items. Like you I go straight for the jewelry table. Countless gold, silver, and vintage mechanical watches for pennies on the dollar.

I agree, I love the high profitable items. I love spending $50 bucks and making over $1,000 profit there is no other niche or anything you can make those sort of profit margins in reselling usually and thats why i love jewelry. I really appreciate the support and thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I really like watching videos on finding gold and silver mostly gold I have been doing it for a couple of years and really get a thrill out of scoring on gold chains and rings for a dollar or two and making a lot on them,and I go to pawn shops to resell them I'm not getting the best price the most I'm getting is a little less than 70% but most friend and people I talk to dont even try they act like it's to complicated or a hassle to go,but estate sales are fun especially when their not professional ones and held by friends or family that way their not priced like way to high,and you get great deals.

Gold and silver is probably one of my biggest money makers when you really view the numbers and percentages based on pure profit. You need to get a better buyer to buy the gold from you, You should get at least 80-85% melt value. Sometimes its hard for folks to find someone who will pay this much but you got to just make it known that you are looking for a long term relationship with them. Pawnshops are not the best place to sell gold/silver, you should do some research and see if there is any other gold buyers locally, also you can post an ad on facebook word of mouth groups in your local area explaining what you are looking to build a relationship with a gold buyer. I have a few relationships for different types of things, for instance, i have someone who is a gold investor so he pays me 100% melt value for certain items like bullion or investment pieces like solid heavyweight chains. Then i have a place that pays me 80-85% melt on pure scrap, then i have another person who buys pieces that have precious stones. Its all about building relationships and making the most out of those relationships to truly get the most profits. Lots of resellers pass up jewelry items while out sourcing just because they haven't educated themselves enough to identify real from fake and thats NO GOOD. But we all do things differently i guess. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I really appreciate the support, The best advice i could give you is to do your own research as far as figuring out all of the different markings for gold or silver, also invest in a pocket book specializing in makers marks and such, if you look back at my older videos you will see i recommend a book called "Miller's Antique Marks" and "Warman's Depression glass field guide" for glass and other items. Both of these books give great pics and info regarding marks and stamps. You also want to become familiar with silver and gold so that you can touch/handle a item and automatically tell if its real. Something i wish i would of learned years and years ago was where to look for gold and silver, most of the items i find today is mixed with costume jewelry, So when out sourcing always look for large amounts of jewelry in boxes or bags and then look closer and see if you spot real stuff like silver/gold. I will be making a better in depth video soon regarding sourcing for gold and silver. Thanks for commenting and watching

My wife and I are full-time resellers and especially my wife has always had an interest to buy and resell jewelry but we both just don’t have the knowledge. Where would you suggest we start to educate ourselves? We have a lot of knowledge on many other items because I have been buying and reselling since I was a kid and now I am 46 years old. We live in northwest Florida and would also be willing to shadow you for a day if that is something you would offer. Of course we would be willing to pay you for your time. Thank you in advance!

Reseller Rockefeller I can’t do Gville much anymore. I hit the thrifts and that’s it. The other resellers that I mostly run into get my blood pressure up lol. I travel to diff towns now and it’s so pleasant. Are you going to peaches to beaches?

So the next time u see them at an estate sale, It Is Those people who will be your compitition!!!! I hate youtubers who devulge valuable info like this -
@davidcolletti71363 жыл бұрын
the resellers around my area...and i spot them so easily,,,with their phone out ...getting comps...lol...go right to the shoes...caps...electronics...and vid games...i go right to the jewerly..and grab the gold and silver...and yes ..they don,t know what they put out...then...if i don,t see any...i always ask if they have some...and sure enough ..they come back out with broken gold chains or tarnished silver rings...for dirt cheap...but ..i say ...let the resellers do their thing... more for me with little competition..

What are you talking about other seller's don't know how you make any money buying in bulk?? That's one major way to get a better return on your investment. Your saying there was all that gold and silver in the table's but people that know what they are doing didn't give it a second look. That's b s. There's no way that much gold went unnoticed. You most likely were the first to get to that table and made an offer our right.
@thepicker90794 жыл бұрын
Haha, I like your tenacity but you are wrong. I most resellers walk right past jewelry, When you find jewelry at yard sales its usually bunched up or tangled up inside a box or bin all mixed up with tons of costume jewelry and based on my experience most resellers around where i live simply walk right past it. I make more money buying and selling gold/silver and so fourth right now than i make on eBay these days. I am not sure what you are trying to prove or insinuate but your statements are untrue and not factual. I hope you have a wonderful day James Barker

I source a lot in the Ocala area. I was just in the Villages last week at estate sales and scored hugely. Ocala is pretty spread out so yard sales can be somewhat difficult but I find pretty good stuff out towards the farming areas where the ranches are and higher-end housing developments are. Maybe we will see each other one day haha. Thanks for watching and commenting.
