Pretty much any accessories at all would make that first dress look a hell of a lot better. It's fitted pretty well, drawn in at the waist so it doesn't look boxy. But there's nothing to break it up. It's not an evening gown, you gotta do something with it. A light jacket, a shawl, something up top you know. Then a belt, perhaps not specifically a belt, maybe a silver chain belt or something. Obviously stockings Then for shoes you could go with a classic black stiletto heel with an ankle strap. Maybe something with a small bit of silver dangling from the buckle to make it pop.

@@Kez16h She said regardless of confidence, when people wears clothes that fit them, it will makes them looks good. For you regardless of the clothes, confidence makes you looks good. What matters to you guys differ. But for most it's easier to be confident when the clothes fits you right and you somehow look stunning in it. Not everyone can wear whatever and still be confident. It's okay to care about what you wear right? Is not caring but still good the trend now?
@Kez16h2 жыл бұрын
@@yannikarina8096 well I just personally can't see myself telling somebody not to wear an outfit because their body type doesn't allow it. I think if you see a dress you like, wear it. Beauty standards are a load of bullshit. They constantly make people question their own beauty. "If you have this body type you can't wear this or that," what kind of quality of life is that? Everything is trendy, it depends on who you ask. It's more important to encourage people to accept themselves than to satisfy everyone's idea of beauty.. Besides, when you watch this video its not even a fair comparison. The first one is without any hairstyle, jewelry, or accessories; she doesn't even smile... is that acceptance..?
@phadenswandemil43452 жыл бұрын
I agree. The first outfit, she's slouching and isn't really feeling it. Of course that's gonna make her look worse. I think body types do matter if you're trying to dress optimally, but if you like what you wear even if it isn't perfect on you, you'll probably look good enough.
@yannikarina80962 жыл бұрын
@@Kez16h First, do you know the theory behind this video? Kibble I mean? I agree with you, she tried to prove a point so she purposefully makes herself look worse in the first dress. But styling and accessories are included in Kibble's guide, so I assume she emulates that. With a Romantic bodytype, that dress doesn't need much styling anyway. Doesn't mean she (soft classic) can't wear it and look good, but more effort. So actually the point of Kibble's bodytype guide is a lot like yours : for people to accept their own unique beauty and not just following trends. Maybe you don't, but some people have that "pick up dress/blouse/something" that even when they feel low, they put in on and instantly feel good because it fits them so well. It helps them feel confident But they don't know why! This guide is to help people find items like that. Not always work like that, but it's not always negative. You felt constricted by rules/suggestion, others felt it helps them. No need to judge each other I guess? Telling people to be confident have it's own potential drawback, too. Back then when I wasn't confident, being told to just smile and be confident makes me feel like 'Oh that's why I don't looks good - and probably never will'. You know, teens. I really despise my well-meaning aunts back then 🤣. So maybe that's what happens with the first commenter. Just forgive them if you will

I feel you! My first tip is kinda boring, but go easy on yourself. Maybe find a couple of pieces that you feel suit you (or that you just like) and try to categorize those into the different types - if you feel like yourself and less insecure in dramatic clothing, that is a big pointer! Sometimes the wrong clothing can maximize our percieved flaws, or we just feel plain uncomfortable. If it's available to you and you're comfortable with it, ask others. ´ And be prepared to revisit! I found that looking at body types and essences made me more secure in my looks, but that also meant I had to go back and reconsider: maybe I'm not as gamine as I thought I was. Hope that helps, I wish you the best!

Maybe she wants to look more balanced, but I just don't see it here. I see a little girly gameine vibe. She is probably ingenue gamine. @@dumplingcat138 mmmm not really. I wear a lot of different styles and I’m a bit curvy. I wear baggy clothes, I wear tight clothes, etc

@@Ghostballs_ some people feel more confident following this but if u don’t that’s fine. All I’m saying is that some clothing is more flattering on certain people and you don’t need to tell people that it’s stupid to care about that

I don't see soft classic as much because her body has juxtaposition I feel like... she seems very petite and has a short vertical line, plus elongated arms that constrast with her small frame. None of that sounds blended as classics are, it sounds gamine-ish.

It’s one of the Kibbe body type. Apparently this Kibbe guy came up with a formula that basically decides what you should/shouldn’t wear based on your bone structure, body fat distribution, and facial features. Personally as someone going into fashion as a career I think it’s pretty stupid
