Property number 2 was stunning. I love the vegetation and the view to the sea. I would build a three story house there with big balconies on each floor to sit out. Maybe a balcony that goes around the house and use it as a walking track.

Some years ago I spent 2 weeks in Caltavuturo at the Convent studying Italian sponsored by the University of Palermo. The Madonie is a beautiful area and so is Cefalu. The area is so full of history and antiquity. It was a pleasure to be in Sicily knowing my grandparents from Acireale, Palermo and Agrigento know and loved this amazing land.

Just my opinion- although #1 this week was amazing, I felt it was too big and too hilly, but what a piece of land! I think for you, #2 is the best; great view, a vineyard!, and easy access in case of emergencies. Easier to see Luce when she starts running around! Maybe #1’s owner would give you roots of wild asparagus. Could you live in the ‘illegal’ house while you build the new house?

What a beautiful family, so happy you are looking for property in Sicily, my parents home land, they immigrated to Australia at the end of the 2nd world war. I am in my seventies, when I first travelled to Sicily and saw the beauty of this land, I felt like I was back home, even though I was born in Australia , Sicily felt like home.

I was in Sicily once for my brothers wedding. (2009) We kept to east side. We loved it there ,even eith a live volcano! There wasn't alot of 'green space' between the town so im surprised you can find property that feels isolated or that doesnt have a view of other houses! Driving up on one side of Mount Etna was like being on the moon! And seeing builings and churches encased by old lava flows was facinating. You are bringing back good memories.

Oh my, that first property is gorgeous and Giuseppe was so nice! The view of those terraces was so pretty! My first response to Sarah when she pointed out the roof of the house, off in the distance, viewed from where a house might be built. It is much further away than your neighbours at Lucky Land! I can see my Luca is in love with it! What a shame that little house would have to come down! It’s a great size for a small dwelling. I’d live there!
