Great video of the great Isla de Mujeres, Mexico. I liked the fact that you toured the island on motorized scooters. Nice to know about the hotel chain that is big in Latin America. It was a fun video!

Been going since 1985 when there were no golf carts,beach clubs, few visitors. Now average 30,000 people per day visit , definitely different, but family has a home here so we still go,and it’s still beautiful. You’re very brave for renting a scooter.

Take the walk down punta sur. Sometimes they don't even collect the small fee for the nature trail.

The trails at Punta Sur are, without a doubt, worth the extra few dollars. It’s my favorite part of the island.
@edubb24917 ай бұрын
DO they take U.S. dollars?
@bradb17227 ай бұрын
@@edubb2491 Yes but I believe it's cheaper if you pay with pesos. Most places in the island will accept US money but you'll end up paying more because each business gets to set their own exchange rate and they typically error on the side of getting paid more
@edubb24917 ай бұрын
Oh..I'll jus give them a U.S. dollar

As someone who has visited Isla for over 30 years, IMO Isla has changed dramatically over the years. The building of “chain American” hotels has especially changed the vibe of the south end. No longer a traveler destination, but a tourist Mecca. The Islenos remain the same lovely and welcoming people they have always been.

Been to Cancun 3 times and the North Beach on Isla Mujeres is second to a beach in Loreto BCS. In Loreto, there is no waves and fish swim around your legs.

You should have walked out to the end of Punta Sur because there is an incredible sea walk that you don’t know exists unless you go to the end.
@davidvanb10 ай бұрын
100% agreed. Being able to follow the "hidden " path down the cliffside was wonderful. I'll be there in a few weeks and can't wait to walk around Punta Sur again.

The walk is amazing. It takes you all around outside the cliff walls and hidden caves with iguanas and crazy birds.

Most relaxed I've ever been was sleeping in a hammock on the patio of a friend's villa there while a storm was out over the sea. I never wanted to leave.

Day out in the ocean is always refreshing, I always thought Eric would know everything about everyplace until I saw the bloopskis where he asks what is this place called😂... Also the chin guard might seem not as fashiony but very important in case you fall off the bike.. most people have problem jaw problems without it 😊 you guys should definitely own a bike... Can't wait to see video of day trip on a bike

You made a mistake by not going down the punta sur trail. Not worth it? You may never know, now that you missed it. But I understand. I missed it too, my first time. Next time you go you really need to walk that trail and get close to the water. -peace

We just got back from Tulum yesterday, and it had been 5 years since we last visited (Dec 2017). It was interesting to observe how things in Tulum have changed in that time-- I do feel a bit disenchanted with it now. You made a good point about Isla Mujeres being an island, so there isn't much more expanding it could take.... I'd be open to visiting someday, seems a bit more chill. Would you say it's really over priced like Tulum?

In name of the thousands of Mexicans whom only watch travelers trough Mexico videos, here are some tips for more views. Spend A LOT of time explaining the experience of eating Mexican food. Don't rank food or restaurants. Don't make a video about how safe is Mexico or speak about that subject. Make people more important than places or buildings. Don't waste your time in restaurants, eat in the street. Don't put "Mexican music" in your videos, we are sick of it. Don't treat this country as a six flags. Much love.
