Dan ! I’ve been listening to your daily videos for weeks now , and today I had an experience I wanted to share w you and the audience members here. After this particular message today , I went onto my daily chores, one of which was finishing up my laundry. I had three loads of laundry piled up in a laundry basket in my basement and the next step was to get all of that upstairs to my second floor, which is climbing two flights of stairs. This is something I usually avoid or ask my husband to do for me because of my “bad back”. I incorporated the message you shared today and just said to myself you are capable and you can do this, and I simply lifted that laundry basket , carried it up two flights of stairs and when I got to the top of the stairs and into room with a mirror, I literally talked out loud to myself and said “there, you did it !” with a big smile on my face, and then I spoke the words out loud about what was happening with my body. My heart was pounding. My breath was a little bit short, my back hurt just a little my right leg was tingling just a little and I reassured myself that that was all normal and it’s all going to resolve and as I spoke the words all those symptoms and resolved! So, THANK YOU ! I AM strong, I AM capable , I AM NOT BROKEN ! And I’m 68 years old !

Love you Dan ❤️ I don’t have physical pain per se but I have a scared brain which is manifesting in chronic anxiety symptoms. ( chest tension, throat tension, sinus pressure, palpitations. Dizziness, shortness of breath, air hunger etc you name it I’ve had it ) Recently I’ve started to have bouts of anxiety free timeframes which is proof this process works. Some days it’s roaring, but that’s okay. I know what I’m dealing with and it’s fear. I’m recovering from fear. Thank you for all that you do, you’ve given me inspiration to help others as I continue to progress.

I am not very religious (I know that can help you find inner strength) but lately what I have been doing that works for me is imagining that the whole world is cheering me on (as a kind of "collective unconscious" thing. ) That's easier for me to believe/imagine so I thought it might help someone else. Other ideas for the not religious like me are "the universe" or even the cells in your body because your cells work tirelessly to keep you alive.

This was so helpful to hear today. I used to be a marathon runner and I feel similar to being on the last leg of the race right now. I hit the wall at mile 20 or 21 and I feel like I'm just trying to summon the strength to push myself that last 5 or 6 miles to the finish right now. I think back to that and remember if I could do that then I can do this also. I am running again and it's amazing. The more I get back into doing the things I loved the more I feel normal and like myself again and the happier I am. And less and less pain over time . I had a day this week I was about pain free. First day in 4 years.

My 17 yr old son has been dealing with ‘chest pain’. I had him checked out medically and he is all good. Which I had a feeling. He thinks he hurt himself playing basketball so any physical activity that he does, he has pulled back from doing because he’s scared of the pain. Well I’ve been having him listen to you and today while in PE they had to run and he started having chest pain. He said he finished the run and started breathing and calming himself down and the pain went away. Thank you so much.

Just watched the video don't distract engage. Wow that was amazing. Had spinal injections in June which did not work have made actual pain worse but I do focus on it way too much stop the video really made me think what would I do if I didn't have all of these symptoms. Lost my job in November so not sure what I will do definitely go out for a drive or do some housework as it is pouring with rain in London today. I do find if I try to distract myself it does not work and occasionally when I engage my brain in watching a television programme I have to realise after 20 minutes that I'm not hurting and then it comes back again. So what you say Dan is completely true❤

Hubby running late for opticians appointment, I offered to drop him, drove through central London. Sensations started as soon as I left the house. Then the tears. I'm sure it's grief. Buried close family member last week but I was able to drive there and attend ceremony, way out of my comfort zone. Told myself opticians was way easier. Got through. Sat in car telling myself I'm ok. Thanks for the messages 🙏

It may help to look at how highly taboo feeling so called negative emotions is, some would "prefer" physical pain to emotional pain, maybe it feels like they are out of control when they feel their inner guidance system - emotions, fear, sadness, etc, these are natural emotions intended to guide the human, but have been labelled as wrong, shameful, especially for men - anger is the only "acceptable" emotion, what a travesty, and for women anger is the one not acceptable emotion?! No wonder there is such a back log and blockages inside people which are then translated into physical pain by the amazing mind, trying to help with these toxic ideologies, what choice does it have but cope with the wrongheaded beliefs programmed into people from birth. Beliefs don't equal truth. Great topic Dan, love the weather report and your breathing reminders.
@1STBUCKLEYАй бұрын
Anger is the outlet for grief etc in males. Crazy how society has put these emotions under shame and not acceptable
@relaxingone578Ай бұрын
@@1STBUCKLEY it’s very problematic- anger when it’s a covering emotion gets spewed onto others or the environment and is highly destructive. Anger that is to prevent harm to oneself is not covering other emotions so doesn’t harm but holding it in when it’s rightly expressed will cause illness. It relieves illness. It’s constructive.

Hi Dan, I realized that I struggle with PDP, but the one that is perceived by our subconscious. If something happens that I am scared of like for example a fight or disappointment I end up with migraine. Even though I know during this event that I am safe. Any suggestions?
@bnobel74Ай бұрын
as soon as you realize that repressed emotions that are trying to surface cause symptoms you will get better. Sarno based all his books on this concept? Your brain perceives these emotions as danger and will mess you up!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't give in............... stay the course.................................

I see the energy behind the scenes which causes the smyptons .....like holding a grievance , I can breath .iI am safe even if others insist on tallking about their smyptons even if they just come and talk about their smyptons and leave I am safe ,okay . Have I ever been a dickweed . i'm great at it . i just let go and allow this one to be at where they are at. As I let go and allowed it all i am finding allowance towards my own holding patterns . They will walk down a new street or not. It's not in my control.some things are easy for me other happenings require more effort again again again to unravel the urge to kill. lol Mikayla

Do you help with psychogenic seizures? I had a bad psychogenic seizure today and I am attempting to find inner strength to make it through.
@PainFreeYouАй бұрын
The cause is definitely stress / perceived danger. Google says: Psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES) are attacks that look like epileptic seizures, but are not caused by abnormal electrical discharges. They are, instead, stress-related, psychological, or emotional. This means that the SAFETY approach I teach daily will definitely help. My fast start playlist is a great place to start. Dan I totally get the fear element to chronic pain as I have come a long way but how do I not give attention to pain that is widespread throughout my body because it is connective tissue pain and as you know I am withdrawing from benzos so the calming neurotransmitters are downgraded how can I not be focused on this pain. I have all the distraction tools but my body constantly Rocks because the excitation is really high.....any suggestions please 🙏

Look up the Gate Control Theory of Pain and why TENS works. That may help you.
@cg60672 ай бұрын
At least we know why we have this awful pain healing from benzos, many people do not know why they are hurting. I consider this structural damage until the receptors heal but we can apply the same principles of reducing fear about our symptoms as we know what it is, our body is healing. The only difference is we cannot increase activity as it revs up the nervous system even more so I think less is more in our case. The body will let us know when it is ready to do more
@PainFreeYou2 ай бұрын
You WILL notice the pain. It's how you RESPOND to it that matters most. There is a difference between noticing it and fixating on it with fear. This video discusses. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hn_EdHSBltRmrdUsi=q2u0ErXhF8MGKH1D And this one too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKLFqKKBgMqJptU
