Angie's success story was so powerful. She switched my brain to "what if" and also gave me strength to KNOW I AM GETTING BETTER. It reminded me of the power of the spirit that is within all of us and available to all of us. She also reminded me that labels that doctors give us are not written and stone. We can get rid of these labels forever.

I think Angie‘s success story was one of the most encouraging that I have ever heard. I guess I mean that it was the most impactful on me personally. It just makes me think about a scripture that says “we are fearfully and wonderfully made”… Our brain and our bodies are amazing and have amazing capabilities. if given the right conditions, our bodies will heal themselves. I believe this is a God-given gift to each of us. I’m so glad you did her interview.

I think it’s a good thing that we can acknowledge that the nervous system can be highly disregulated. I was told by a young doctor too that in fact I was palliative. It’s shocking to hear and believe that statement. Angie is an example of extreme courage and looking at multiple ways out of her dysregulation.❤

Angie's story is an amazing one, but one of the things I took from it, as with Phil's great rheumatoid arthritis story, is that both utilised other practices as well. Angie's healing started when she was able to diminish her MCAS, and she followed this up with somatic practices as well to regulate the nervous system. Whether she would have had such an amazing recovery from palliative care to full health without her nutrition therapist, and the doctor who had sufficient insight to grasp that the root of the problem could be MCAS, is another question. But it is a wonderful outcome.

@@PainFreeYou Update from that DR is that I do have a real symptom: Right side vocal chord paralysis. But what caused the paralysis is probably tms/pdp because it started right when I started working on my pain.
@PainFreeYou4 ай бұрын
@@silent_advocate you are correct. The symptom is the result of a brain perceiving danger. Safety is the solution. Focus on consistent, calm and clarity that your body will be fine once the brain settles down.

What an amazing story of hope! This video meant so much to me to hear someone discussing MCAS and how debilitating it is but in the same token sharing such a life saving turnaround. It is validating, inspiring, empowering, and just completely amazing! I have been following you for a while Dan but struggle and continue to battle my thoughts due to the scary symptoms that MCAS can bring and wonder how it connects to the mind body space. To see that this woman fully committed, dove in head first snd and turned her life around this way is so incredible. Gives me hope! Helps me to feel that this can work for me and I’m in the right place. Thank you Angie! Thank you Dan!

Great great success story! I just wish Dan did not ask Angie how long it took her to recover.(And she initially hesitated to answer) It just puts people who take long time to recover and are still in the process in almost depression. Thank you Dan for daily videos,your knowledge and support.

Had I not asked, I would have gotten dozens of people asking me how long it took. The goal of these success stories is not to make you feel like you are failing, but to INSPIRE you to commit to this work. To see what is possible. Go for it. Commit to it.

It's true, it works. I'm about 75% better from pudendal neuralgia, sciatic issues, hypertonic muscles everywhere, dizziness, and about 20 other symptoms. I'm back to fully living life, I can do any activity I did before. Yard work, house work, even runnng. The key is the mind set, and what kick started the healing was doing strength training with a sports rehab PT. That showed my brain that doing these things was safe. My anxiety began to lower. And the PT kept reassuring me along the way by telling me it was safe, these exercises were not going to harm me and I could do them. Once my brain saw and accepted that I was doing these things and I was in fact ok, I stopped having pain flares. I havent had one in 4 months.

@PainFreeYou thank you Dan I would love to someday. I still have some more work to do on myself, then I plan on devoting more to helping others that are struggling. Thank you for helping me get to where I'm at now. I don't know if you remember me or not. I was in your coaching program about a few months a few years ago. I didnt do a lot of talking because I'm shy but one day I remember telling you I was at the point of considering giving up my career in nuclear medicine because I was having such difficulty working and being on call at night. You told me there was no need for me to quit my job. Thank you for giving me the push I needed to keep going. I was so close to just packing it all in and succumbing to the fact that I was very near disability.

I had to QUIT strength training a decade bc of the symptoms. We don't all get better from strength training.
@stayred773 ай бұрын
@robertwilliams5618 not saying it's a cure. I wasn't trying to "fix" myself with strength training. It was what worked for me to help rewire my nervous system slowly through graded exposure. It helped me by teaching my body that movement and exercise were safe, then I stopped having the big pain flares. I used to run marathons and was in the military. I was a highly active person and I quit everything for 4 years because of the pain. Everyone's journey will be different, what worked for me may not work for you. But I needed to teach myself that these things were not harming my body. I had to get over the fear. This is a pain fear cycle

So im going to stick with the truth i just have a scared brain that needs to learn to believe the truth that i am healthy and not broken.
