hi i have finevu gx1000, my car is not running, parked, i have the car key removed, as soon as insert the power jack into the front camera, it says start recording. it records in every minute all the time, do you know how to turn off the normal recording? i just want it to record when there is motion or impact, in order to save the car battery.

Hi A! If your cigarette lighter port turns off and on when you turn on and off you car, then the dash cam will come on and off with the car (so it will not drain you car battery). But if your plug is always on even when the car is off, I use one of this ones amzn.to/3BofzJI to control the lighter port manually and ensure the dash cam turns off and not drain the car's battery. Hi Sushant! Ah unfortunately I have not tested any of those dashcams, so I can't comment on their performance. Hi MC! The LED's consume minimal power compared to the rest of the dash cam features but remember as shown on the video, you can set the voltage for the low voltage cut off (to protect the battery). Cheers!

Hi Aki! I recommend contacting your installer to check your dash cam and make sure everything is connected and working correctly. And you can also contact FineVu for tech support, they may be able to walk you thru some troubleshooting steps. And please keep us posted on your findings. Cheers!

Hi Rebecca! I have not reviewed the GX400 so I'm not familiar with it's buttons, however I would recommend having your installer check your install or consulting your owners manual for instructions on how to connect to the dash cam. And if you still can't connect, you can also contact FineVu for tech support and please keep us posted on your findings. Cheers!

Hi Big! Most Wifi enabled dash cams will turn off the Wifi every time the Dash cam is turned off (even if hardwired). If you want the Wifi to always stay on and connected to the App (live notifications to your phone etc.) you would want a Cloud enabled dash cam like this one kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3Ovp6RojZeGrbM (live video, geofencing, tracking, notifications to your phone etc.) Cheers!
