The first thing I noticed was the hanging quilt. It's gorgeous. I love the colors. Sorry Ernest didnt like it, but glad you were able to finish it. Wow!! His Irish Chain is amazing!! Yes! Alternating the blocks eliminated the need to match seams on that little strip part.

I also made the scrappy Irish chain quilt. I divided the blocks and made two smaller quilts. Corey Yoder used the pattern for a sew along last year/2022. She complimented the free instructions by adding pressing details to make assembly easier. I admire Ernest using unique squares. I simply cut into my stash. I enjoy your videos and look forward to your content.

@ErnestSewell that quilt you sent Sheri is beautiful!! I can’t understand why you don’t like it. You need to stop being your own quilt police. Sheri the quilting on it was exactly the right choice and the binding fabric was perfect and really set it off. Now for the Irish Chain all I can say is “OHHHH MYYYLANTA”!!! Between your piecing and Bryce’s quilting it is definitely STUNNING!!! Y’all never fail to impress!! Sheri I hope you raise a lot of money for the humane society with “Blue’s Batiks” because with all the donations and the layout it turned into a striking quilt. Someone with a king size bed will be very happy with it.

I had the “Earnest” experience about a year ago after making a BOTM quilt. Blocks were fun/pretty but after the top was finished, I said “No… oh no…”. It was bad, just kept thinking No. it’s folded and put away. 😊

It’s hard to justify putting more materials into quilts we are not liking how they turned out, but maybe it would make a nice car quilt or donation quilt.
