For the cruise to work it needs a speed sensor on the input of the blower so it has a reference.

As a guy the blue chalk was HEARTWARMING for you two, .i'm worried about a rock or a small child going in the blower? maybe refit the glide feet on the blower to prevent a ROCK? Riley, I think you need a R P M signal for the set speed in the cruise brain; check the wiring diagram for an input to it. it receives a vehicle speed signal from somewhere, and some of the big rocks from where the wasps were last year for traction weight and balance of the blower. Boy I'm wishing I could ride in the cab with you when you're blowing snow!!! Love your blog keep it up, keep it up PLEASE!!!

Not sure what your new parts are to help manage RPM, but You could try an electronic governor. I have the same problem, but with a carbureted engine. I looked into that option but need an old skool belt driven governor instead. I have one on an old combine that doesn't need it anymore and that should fix my RPM problem. I never doubted this project, I new it was going to work. Don't get discouraged Riley, You guys are an awesome team and it shows. Congrats on the baby reveal....He's going to have a lot of toys to play with as he is growing up.

I apologize if someone has already mentioned this but cruise controls monitor the engine RPM in comparison to the vehicle speed. that would mean that you would have to find a way to monitor the blowers rotation speed, so the controller knows how much RPM is needed to maintain speed. 😊🍻 Great idea, by the way . peace and have a great day 🤘

hello from the Netherlands . Congratulations on your baby boy. when you parks the army truck in the workshop it is nice and snow free, and with a dryer-hose you move the exhaust of the truck just outside the garage door so that you don't blow it full of exhaust gases every time . you also have hand throttle cables that you can fix to a fixed speed, I think the cruise control may not be working properly because there is no sensor how fast you are driving now, maybe it will work if you place the speed sensor on one of the pulleys so that the sensor can now read the speed of the pulley, cruise control also only works above a speed of 30 or 50 km/h . I would put the shoes back on. We have ours about 1" plus above the ground. It helps prevent gouging into the road.

I'm not sure if y'all had thought of this, but with the added weight of the engine and the snow blower on the front of your vehicle without a counterweight at the rear of the vehicle, you are going to lose traction on the rear tires. This will effectively make your 4-wheel drive into a 2-wheel drive. Since this is a dump truck, just put some rocks in the back to help counterbalance the extra weight in the front. I hope this is useful and helps out.

Consider putting the skid shoes back on just raise them to the highest position so the skid shoes wear and not the steel of the blower, raising the shoes all the way up will still give you good clearing ability and not leave snow behind. Riley remember: K.I.S.S, just use the manual throttle, simple is better. Congratulations on the new addition

I once put a cruise control on my sister's car and it did just what yours does. The problem turned out to be that the linkage from the cruise to the throttle shaft was too short. When the cruise cable pulled 1/2 inch it pulled the throttle 30 degrees. Doubling the arm of the lever on the throttle decreased the sensitivity so 1/2 inch cable pull only changed the throttle 15 degrees resulting in a smoother operation. Hope you get it going right.

Cruise controls typically need to disengage when tires spin, so that's might be your problem. Engine revs up too easily so it thinks there's spin.
