I'm half way through this, and I have to say I ADORE your alternate plot prediction. I caught this video before Episode 2 even came out, though I never watched it because really I'd rather dive into the Second episode without any pre-concieved notions (Something I'm thankful for doing). Thats only because I'd rather not let that effect my enjoyment when some of these predictions fall through. I'll just say I seriously loved your different take based entirely on preview. It's insane too, almost everything at the beginning leading up towards the truck fight was damn near spot on! And I think we all thought that bit with Jax was meant to be a deep character moment too, instead of the quick misdirect it was (Though nice spotting the tied up gator detail, its great how you theorised around that) You should keep doing this! The story you Concocted, based off of limited information was really fun to listen to. (Yeah I might as well subscribe too. You've got a way with words)

Coming back after having just watched the episode to say that I liked your prediction more Finn. Both this and the first episode have pomni doing something that breaks her sanity, encoutners wackiness in the fabric of the game, with her being the A plot while every other character is the B plot. I was really excited by your premise to have each character get their own development, but it might only realistically be Pomni at this point, and I'm scared the show is going to be a lot more of just her while everyone else is just existing to exist. It kinda upset me that the image of Jax downtrodden at the back of the tanker wasn't any deeper than, "I'm mad there wasn't more blood and explosions." Maybe this is a miscalculation in my own expectations of the show as a whole, but for now I will still be watching with an twinge of, "this could be so much more," in my throat. I'm finding that I have that twinge with everything I'm consuming lately, and it's concerning.

In the pilot near the end, Caine has this weird expression when he hears that Kaufmo abstracted as if he knew that already and also that Pomni was supposed to find him to ask for help. So maybe he sets up tests to see how the circus members will react, or he just wants to make people happy and nothing in his programming prohibits him from doing that in a way that results in emotional damage. (Like maybe he gives people what they think will make them happy not what will actually help).

As someone who's been following Goose for years prior to TADC, I can safely say that this has FAR too much genuine heart to be even close to the actual episode. When Goose writes emotional moments (like the scene with the partially abstracted Ragatha in the pilot) it always ends up being in service of comedic cruelty to the characters and nothing else. Another thing is that I can confidently say that Goose will take the approach of Jax just genuinely being a callous sadist with nothing more to him, again, it's her sense of humor. Going back to that thing you mentioned about the prospect of the characters improving through personal trials, I pretty sure we're in for the exact opposite, of Caine's games only making the players' mental states worse, or driving them to just generally be worse people. I'm no saying I didn't like the video, just a bunch of thoughts I had as a dedicated Gooseworx obsessive. As a general rule of thumb for future predictions, just think of it like this: If the twist of the syrup being a drug to distract the kingdom's residents did happen, it would be the setup to a joke of the citizens forming and angry mob and chasing the performers out for trying to cut off their supply and happily buying the gators out (Edit: this tweet from Glitch might've just proved this is exactly what will happen: twitter.com/glitch_prod/status/1783934395113500919). That's the kind of thing Goose always does, those jokes are basically the reason she creates in the first place. You're welcome!

Honestly one of the only things I would change is something I want for every episode. For Jax to also be with the same character that Pomni is with during the episode and all the other episodes and slowly reveal parts of his past and what he’s really like behind his emotional defensive walls. (And no I refuse to believe he’s an NPC.). With maybe the 4th to last episode being all about him, pomni, and someone like Gangle or Ragatua going on one final adventure being focused on Jax and his backstory. (A sort of nod to the “I have no mouth and must scream” video game.) Jax breaks down, possibly almost abstracts, but his friends calm him down and assure him that he’s ok. Then when they get back Jax would slowly try and make things right to all the other circus mates (since they apparently all hate him I guess.). I would also have the last 3 episodes be lore focused on Caine or something similar like that. But aside from that I have nothing else to had to this…gonna put this all in my own little AU though. Jax would still love screwing with people through since he loves doing that so much. Old habits die hard after all. He never stop breaking the fourth wall though. Nothing will stop him from doing that. Believe me. Caine’s tried. He just can’t stop him. No one can. He has power of “not giving a jack crap” (GOD this was long. Sorry if it seems like a lot.) -L

I’m just going to list of how many right things and how many wrong things you got also this video was great just a listing of the things. Chapter 1: you kind of got everything wrong but you were very close about Pomni dream. Chapter 2: before I begin, I just think. 7:40 was funny because he says that kinger practicing holding up his pinky, but literally one second later he just picks his nonexistent ear now let’s get back on track most of it he got wrong and with the gummy gators (sorry I forgot there name) they’re actually stealing the syrup to help their village also at 9:09 this is a reference from pizza tower there’s a move in the game where you can taught it even has the same sound effect now on to Chapter 3: again mostly everything wrong but first the fudge monster actually was mostly friendly just wanting to eat the candy people and does not have any powers and Ponmi and the yellow gator fell out of the map. Chapter 4: again everything wrong and Jack’s being depressed is kind of close, but he was just disappointed with no chaos and also that was the wrong gator. It was supposed to be the yellow one Chapter 5: mostly everything wrong again there was no part two to Pomni nightmare and also jacks is actually going to get even a worse one the show continues. Chapter 6: mostly everything a lot again I forgot to say this in chapter 4, but the gummy gators care a lot about each other and the village and also even know your theory wrong about this but I do like the duo with the purple gator and Jax but in the real episode, it was just Ponmi and the yellow gator instead so you were really close with that though. Chapter 7: I do know digital Circus inspired. I have no mouth, but I must scream, but I was a little bit scared of it so I never researched it, but I didn’t know that so yeah, the characters might overcome the floss A very good theory and your grade is is…… C- but again great theory.
