I honestly side with Octavia. While it is obvious that Stolas adores and cherishes his daughter...his attitude and actions make it seem that Blitz is actually the most important thing in his life. Octavia was lost, scared, and confused...but neither Stolas nor Stella ever took the time to guide her through the process of what was going on. True, Stolas admitted to Octavia that he didn't have the words on why he did what he did - but the problem was that he never took the time to find the words, and instead continued living his little fantasy. I get that Stolas didn't have an easy life...but that doesn't excuse the fact that he basically turned his back on his daughter - "the only good thing in his life". Now, Stella is also at fault, because she has always been a terrible wife and mother...but that's who Stolas ended up leaving his daughter with. And he's beginning to see how different life can be from fantazy. It is why I have never liked the relationship between Stolas and Blitz. To me it was just toxic and unnecessary. If anything Blitz and Stolas should have been more of a "what could have been" type of thing. I would have liked to see them work on themselves a bit more on themselves. Having Blitz try work things out with Verosika, that would have been better. And Stolas, he could have tried to expand his circle, while also trying to be the father Octavia deserves.

In the beginning I didn’t much if care for Adam, but then as time went on I grew to properly appreciate him and his character more and came to realize the no. 1 reason he’s portrayed as a villain in this story is because his disagrees with Charlie and her (frankly ignorant) idea. Let me put it to you this way. In the first episode, we’re told that the reason for the exterminations is in order to hinder overpopulation and make sure the citizens of Hell could never rise against Heaven. Now consider if you will if Hell’s numbers and power grew to the point of being able to rise up against heaven, that would very much likely also put _Earth_ in some serious danger. Plus, the main cast of the hotel are basically some of the lesser problematic (albeit still problematic) sinners we’ve seen in Hell- which frankly isn’t saying very much- so it makes it easier for us to sympathize/empathize with them. Meanwhile, during the song Happy Day In Hell, were given a view of the more typical citizens of Hell who are, like Lucifer said, _AWFUL._ Adam, being the first man, has been around since the beginning of creation, and has seen the depths of depravity that have landed people in Hell, including assault, abuse, manipulation, murder, cannibalism, and so forth. So yeah, if I were given the assignment to eliminate as many of those people from existence as I could once a year, I’d probably have little to no qualms about it. A negative times a negative is a positive.

The episode was good, but it was way too gay for my standards. It seems like queer people are standing around every corner. But the animation and the music was pretty good.

this newest episode of Helluva is just the perfect example of how Viviziepop can’t let men face consequences. Millie was right, they have a job to do. The guy cheated, but it’s ok because he’s gay and he’s a man. Because suddenly Blitz has a moral compass about who to kill. And, of course, the woman who was the victim of the cheating had to be an absolute bitch who everyone hates. Because of course.

15:08 Not me. I'm _really_ apprehensive about how this is gonna be handled. I'll have to do a full series rewatch to really gather my thoughts, but it's bugging me that one of the only two afabs in the main cast, and more or less the only woman in a stable relationship we've seen in this show*, is now set up to become the obligatory mother character. One of the biggest complaints the fanbase had at the end of s1 was that Millie didn't get enough time to shine and develop as a character beyond just being Moxxie's partner. And she has gotten some great moments this season, but I'm not sure it's enough to justify this. I don't want to accuse the writers of reducing her to her ability to get pregnant, because I don't believe for a second that was their intention. I'm just not sure I'm on board for the type of stories this is going to lead to if she carries this child to term. (That said, there's a possibility that she _doesn't,_ which would be a whole other story. We'll have to see how it plays out I guess.)

Actually I can't really imagine Nifty being crafted by Roo. I mean yes of course no one would ever suspect her as a spy of Roo, even if the Hazbin gang would know about Roo. But just the fact, that Adam was killed by Nifty and Adam provided Roo with souls doesn't make sense really. She wouldn't have done that if she were controlled by Roo yk?

I kinda feel Octavia is a brat for not seeing how her father love her... and her mother is a horrible person to her father... she can also see her dad anytime she wants - she is the lady of the house.

I have a theory on how Stolas could reconect with Via, since her and Loona already interacted with each others im sur they would try to bring that interaction back, since they are both goth teens

Moxie and Millie make great parents. My mom always told me that there is no preparing for being a parent. There's nothing preparing you for being truly ready for this responsibility, and people who tend to think about the consequences are the ones who are good parents, not the ones that aren't. I'm sure everything will be fine.

I think it’s poor placement for the phone call thing because right after “he remembers to call Via” they said he was trying to call all month. So it’s clear he did call her right after Mastermind (even if it didn’t reach her), which implies he was upset he even forgot for a second to call again. Unfortunately people are only thinking about that one morning without the context of Stella/Andy’s comments. I just feel another scene or moving some scenes around would make those contextual moments in timeline less confusing.

It'd be great to see some recurring unresolved characters in future episodes (Those in early-season 2) as they could give way to more complex threats and potential hijinks. I also feel adding more continuity from the late-season 2 episodes would be pleasant in reinforcing the structure of HB's ongoing story. Very hopeful for new characters in season 3!

Legend in the Mist and Starfinder 2e are coming out next years, so there's potential for next year.

I felt Loona's Warg form made sense. Besides the hint she's been working on her magic, I think she got the idea from Stolas, and his massacre of the D.H.O.R.K.S

bh I think the fundamental issue with S2 was really less most of the episodes themselves, I think Unhappy Campers (and there's still some stuff I really like there) and Seeing Stars (which is unfortunate because there's a LOT of stuff I like in that one, the Loona and Via stuff is top tier HB and I really hope we get more of that but it's just jumping around too many damn plots) are the only truly meh episode (maybe Western Energy, I think the Striker-Stolas-MnM stuff is good enough to offset how damn long the Loona needle joke goes) but the real issue was just the release structure. Season 2 tried to be more serialized than Season 1 but also keep the occasional mostly one off adventure, this is fine and good and you need those one offs and mini arcs to spotlight characters less involved in the whole Blitz and Stolas plot and when you know when the next episode is coming out it works well, it becomes an issue when it's like ONE EPISODE IS OUT THIS MONTH, THEN THE NEXT IS OUT 4 MONTHS LATER, THEN THE NEXT IS OUT IN 3 WEEKS, THEN THE NEXT IS OUT IN 6 MONTHS because then the one offs make it feel like the plot has ground to a halt. I actually think the back half of S2 Opps through Sinsmas is the strongest run of episodes in the show, im not sure if any of them beat Truthseekers (though Mastermind MIGHT for me personally) but yeah, but a big part of why it all worked is for the most part WE KNEW WHEN THEY WERE COMING. The fact that Viv herself has said S3 is gonna take longer to release because they want to keep up this kind of more consistent release schedule proves that they learned this too, it sucks that we'll probably be waiting till like Q4 2025, Q1 2026 or so at the earliest but it's probably what's best for the show to be able to release episodes monthly and semi monthly.. and hey at least we know we'll be getting shorts occasionally in the meantime and Hazbin season 2 will almost certainly come out in that time too. But yeah going back through season 2 a lot of the things that seemed like issues being overlooked (like Stolas's lowkey classism) were just.. things that were meant to be addressed later but since the release schedule was so erratic later could be YEARS later, I mean The Circus came out in mid 2022 after all so S2 took over 2 years to fully release. They wrote the season as you would for a normal non indie show releasing at a regular pace, and I think in the long term that's a good thing. It works well watched in one go but as it was being released it made things feel really frustrating.

I've often said in real life, that you don't know the good days without the bad days. People, myself included, often forget how good they have a situation, getting hung up on the few bad parts, while being oblivious to the great parts.

I would like to say that saying Stolas "neglected" via is kinda bs cause its evident he was always a present father until this moment. In Vias song there was plenty of examples of Stolas giving a shit about her as she grew up. She was allowed to have a childhood- which is something Stolas was never allowed to have. Stolas did what he had to do and only stayed with Stella for Via. Its now that Stolas wants to start living for himself and yes he did fuck up. He couldn't balance between wanting to find his own happiness outside of Via and his relationship with Via. Stolas's biggest sin is that he sheltered Via thinking that was a way to protect her rather than being up front with her. Via is struggling from being a teen to entering adulthood in which your relationship with your parental figure changes. So yes while I think Sinmas was great for his character lets not pretend that Stolas always was a neglectful father- he wasn't.

I got my feelings with how I can see Octavia's story. We know she's the next heir, and her powers are impressive already being able to mirror force an attack from the current holder of the Ars Goetia power. Keep up with her own training (which is most likely to be filled with anxed and isolation from even her own mother & uncle), I can see her fending off potential assassination attempts, overthrowing her Uncle on her time to take up the mantle, and maybe, just maybe, threaten all of hell itself that the mummy dearest & ice bitch did not expect.

13:29 Youre absolutely right that it wasn't mentioned that Loona has a more demonic form in this episode- but it has been mentioned multiple times that ALL demons have an "all out" mode. We haven't however, received confirmation that native demons such as Imps and Hellhounds also follow this rule until now. Still waiting to see if Imps do!
