'Rescue Me' still sits in my top three TV series of all time. What they got absolutely spot on was the team ethic of a bunch of tough guys working together. No other program EVER came close to recreating that.

Ive never been a fireman before but when I lived in the Denver metro area in the late 80s and early 90s I drove an office furniture and supply route. I had working knowledge of 3 furniture and bulk supply routes and 3 regular supply routes. The Transportation Supervisor ALWAYS had his drivers' backs. He said just do your job the best you can, dont damage anyones property OR our trucks and equipment, but mainly ALWAYS be 100 % honest with me and I'll always have your back and I hope you'll have mine. He was awarded Supervisor of the Year at the company Christmas party in 1990 and I was always ready willing and able to give 110% for him every day because he always did it for each of his 13 or 14 supply route and 5 or 6 furniture route drivers. One of the BEST supervisors I ever had and Ive worked from the 8th grade to age 62. Back then the company was called Corporate Express and the supervisor was Mark Brinklow. Thanks, Boss. DRB P.S. In 1990 I also became friends with Mark's younger brother, Michael. It was when I was also going through a divorce and Mike told his big brother that because of that I was going to be alone on that Thanksgiving. Mark told Mike that if I wasnt at his house on Thanksgiving not only would he kick my ass, he'd put me on the worst delivery route he could dream up. I loved my boss and his family and miss em all.
