The thing about vampires is that there is an enormous variety of them from all over the world and even time periods. Chinese vampires are very different from Czech, Indonesian, Gambian types. Actually that'd make a great game if somebody put some effort into it, with each variant requiring research and preparation!

For anyone who's curious, FAMAS really do have bayonets on top of the barrel rather than underneath. More on the bayonet: aren't vampires also hurt by silver and/or blessed steel? If you had a sanctified silver bayonet, made out of a melted down cross or something, that could also theoretically work, right? Also, another horror game with guns Johnathan should look at is FEAR.

There’s some of us who are enjoying the game. Probably more than you think. I more annoyed by how obviously this game has been used as cannon fodder by KZbinrs trying to monetize the tribal divisions of the fanboys of the various consoles. I mean it’s a smart idea if how you make money is to get views on a video. Just give a large number of people exactly what they want to hear and you have a winner and there’s no doubt there’s a large number of people who wanted this game to fail due to the fact that Microsoft purchased Bethesda and made their games exclusives to Xbox and PC. However that doesn’t make it any less annoying now that I have to deal with the angry internet mob every time this game is mentioned. Haters going to hate though. My suggestion to anyone that is involved in the console tribalism just buy a PC because it’s way better than both Xbox and PlayStation and has more exclusives then both of them combined.

I feel like the reason for the rotating barrels on the stake launchers is *specifically for* aligning the shots. Aligning the barrels with the top position would mean that you're launching the stakes from the same position every time. If they just launched from a static position, you would miss out on the accuracy needed to pierce the heart of your target. You'd end up with each stake hitting somewhere different.
@dandydasyt4766 Жыл бұрын
Personally, i think it's moreso the fact that having them rotating means they'd only need one lauching mechanism instead of three. If it's accuracy then all they need to do is to tilt to offset the spike so that they's have the same convergence point. It's how double barrel shotguns work as a hunting gun.
@draegonspawn5361 Жыл бұрын

That first revolver shown had a Ruger Grip similar to the GP100. You can tell by the spring on the side of the frame which has been a ruger feature since the Speed/Security/Service Six line that evolved to the modern GP100. As for the frame and barrel, it reminds me of the old Arminius .38 revolver my brother in law had. The Cylinder release kind of looks like a blend of a Smith and Wesson push foward with the looks of a Charter Arms release
@BT-ex7ko Жыл бұрын
You had me curious because I swore I saw those grips on a ruger pocket pistol as well. So I did some googling. The grips are an *exact copy* of the SP101 grips, although the game doesn't smooth the grip corners out. The GP100 seems to be the inspiration for the actual body of the gun, seems very very similar due to the harder edges that model has (although it too, also can have plastic inset grips like you've noted!). Seems like they took two ruger handguns and smooshed them together. What's interesting is that the serial begins with an RG104. Seems like a intentional reference back to what is most certainly what they've used for inspiration.
@Freekymoho Жыл бұрын
So my impression regarding staking in the game world is that you just need any object long enough to pierce the heart fully, and the reason there are wooden stakes may be superstition, or simply because sharpening a stick is an easily accessible source when youre a civilian without access to bayonets

Extended pistol barrels of that length are typically done if it is ported with holes drilled vertically for compensating muzzle flip. The frame almost resembles that of a Makarov, but altered in shape for a recoil guide rod and spring assembly on traditional tilting-barrel handguns. By contrast the Makarov's recoil spring uses its fixed-barrel as a guide rod and thus the frame doesn't need that feature. The optic for Perfectly Normal resembles an Elbit Falcon. a 1970's Israeli optic most known for its appearance in Call of Duty Black Ops 1.

I do have a theory as to how the FAMAS bayonette could work besides just cosmetic overlook. In the movie Van Helsing, Silver Stakes are used instead of wooden ones to fight Dracula and his brides. So if Silver is just as effective as wood, it could be that the FAMAS bayonette is either made of silver or has a Silver coating?
@westonloy1765 Жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly, the reasoning behind stakes being effective is that corpses suspected of being vampires were nailed into their coffins so they couldn’t rise out, which was more or less co-opted by Van Helsing. Theoretically, the stabbing itself has no effect on the continued life of the vampire, unless it is more of a mystical/ritualistically significant act; unless wood is specifically required by whatever supernatural mechanism is at work, anything capable of piercing the body should be suitable for such function.
@junibug6790 Жыл бұрын

The Cycle: Frontier has some really cool sci-fi firearms with some recognisable elements taken from real gun inspirations, and some interesting actions & reloads! I formally submit my request.

The M-16A2 is an assault rifle however it doesn't have an automatic fire mode, only 3 round burst, semi-auto and safe.

I would love a 7 days to die episode. many "handmade" guns, weird guns, and iconic guns that fit into a rugged zombie filled world. the guns would be great for an episode!
