You forgot colossus can sprint charge with the shield up. You can also fly with it and ram targets on the ground

To any Colossus players, you can use your shield to knock down those certain mobs that hover in the air for a while and starts shooting with a machine gun. just pull out your shield and fly directly into them. gives you and your team time to break its shield, prime it, and kill it. Happy Hunting.

Firewall mortar is underrated in my opinion. I used to prime a group of enemies from a distance and then used the railgun or siege cannon to detonate and got the aoe combo explosion. The lightning coil/flamethrower build is more popular, but this isna good one as well

Mr Super-Kami Popo I was trying to use that today but for some reason it felt like the lightning coil wasnt working unless I held the button down. Even then, it only seemed to want to detonate my combos half the time. Something seems off.

It might have been Shock coil. They’re very similar but one is a Primer while the other is a detonator. I had the same problem for a while in the full game

I know I'm late to this video but lightning coil rules when you're constantly having to reload because you can use it while reloading, so you can still do damage while otherwise not being able to.

The problem is that its a dps build and ppl then complain its too squishy and ask for buffs lol. Fml But yeah its the shredder build no doubt. I prefer heavy tank still.

DissonantHarmony Im having a weird time with lightning coil. It often doesnt fire unless I hold the button down and even then i feel like it isnt detonating combos half the time it should be

@@CJLD50 Lightning coil is a toggle on ability now I believe. You click the button once and it just goes for 5 charges. While this is happening you can shoot or use your wrist mounted ability. At least that's my understanding now that we're at release. That said, you are prob just running into one of the games many bugs if it isn't working. t's worth noting that this video and my comment are from the beta so things have been rebalanced somewhat. If I had to pick a Colossus combo right now, it would 100% be firewall mortar and rail gun.

Atom_Alchemist Hey, I actually didn’t see the need for the in game ability icons on the chart - but I used them in this video for reference. I think as the chart is to show damage types the actual elemental icon in the chart is more than enough. Thanks for the suggestion though. I have a few other charts I’m working on - stay tuned ;)

The colossus needs to do WAY more damage and be tankier. The fucking explosive sniper does more than it's super! Colossus should do by far the most damage of the javelins on account of it carrying the biggest, loudest guns and being slow af.

so are the raw damage abilities more for boss fights seeing as you can't combo bosses, you wanna take one of those so you can still get high damage.

You actually can combo bosses - they just take a lot longer to prime and their detonation window is very small. What the raw damage abilities are good for is taking down siege units (railgun for instance does bonus damage to cannons) and for taking down enemy shields (since you cannot combo enemies while they have any amount of blue shield).

@@julianboyd8719 guess I'll take a closer look when I play later but the big bug was taking the element debuffs but I wasn't seeing combo maybe because I'm colossus and there was nothing to aoe.

@@BetterThanAverageTreasures its like a 1 second window at best to hit the combo but you can combo. for the spider boss i use shock coil when i can and open the boss up for combos since its just a continuous tic of priming. anything that primes and is constant will go a long way, like the firewall mortar (haven't gotten it yet so cant say 100%).

There are only 12 abilities per javelin. They said they won't be adding new abilities, and weapons really aren't on their to-do list.
