I cried watching this video, I have family that are firefighters and I am proud of them, one is my 19 year old niece and (I do like the video) she is a firefighter in IL and I worry so much for her right now with the 19 firefighters that died this week in AZ. Keep up the great work that you do and know that you are very appreciated for the work you do. You are very blessed and loved by people you do not know.

For all the CPR training I have received over the years, this video is a truly great training method for both trained and un-trained CPR providers.

I love this video. My hubby used to be an EMT. This makes him remember how to do CPR. I made him watch this awhile back & reminded me how to do CPR. I had to laugh at him cause I'm more worried bout the way were taught in CPR class without thinking of video

Awesome video! Many thanks on sharing the correct way to administer CPR! Now, anyone has to do in case CPR is needed, is to remember the song "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees!! I'm not familiar with all the dance moves for the "Stayin' Alive" song, but looks like there was a little "Electric Slide Boogie" going on too! Way too cute!! These folks got their moves down for sure!! :)

Good job, CFD! My husband runs a youth fire service program for his FD, so I'm sure he will be able to incorporate this video in some way. And as a civilian, I learned something valuable from it. I learned CPR back in Grade School, way back in '74. I got my First Aid Certificate and was so happy to know that, if the need ever arose, I might be able to help save someone, one day. Well, back in 2004, I was a waitress and I had a customer who fell out, with a heart attack and and I immediately got my male co-worker to help me get the fairly big man off of the bench and onto the floor and started CPR, when I couldn't find a pulse or his breath. I kept it up until the man came to. The Medic team showed up shortly after and took over the man's care. When they all left, I went into the back break room and totally broke down; partly from happiness, that this man was going to survive and partly from shock and terror, because I wasn't sure if what I was taught would even work. I guess I don't need to worry about that, anymore! It really DOES work! Please, Everyone! Learn basic First Aid and CPR. It is so worth it and you just never know......You could very well end up saving someone's life; maybe even someone very close to you. Much Love and Peace, to ALL! =)

Teaching is training. Public education is the most effective form of prevention. Effective bystander CPR is proven to improve outcomes more reliably than anything else in the pulseless arrest protocol.

Under the new guidelines, compressions are FAR more important that oxygenation (breaths). Just providing **quality** compressions until EMS can get there does SO much to ensure that a person may survive. And this is perfect, the correct rhythm and some good information for the lay person who may find themselves in a situation where they are the only person who *may* be able to help. :) This is awesome. :)
