It was so cool to hear Joe's stories about firefighting and his career. My Dad retired after thirty years as a battalion chief; his brother was also a BC in the other division (so they wouldn't end up on the same call.) I remember the tape readers that all came to one building in our city called the Fire Alarm Center. Then individual companies and trucks would be dispatched by telephone or radio. Joe, your story of the lost children really touched me; my Dad's worst days were when he came home to tell us they had lost a child to smoke. It was the reason I didn't follow Dad into the force. I knew I didn't have the emotional strength to deal with that. Thank you so much for your service.
@aaronmcconnell7358 Жыл бұрын
This was a emotional one,fire is something we are born with a natural fear of and the firefighters are the ones running into the flames while others are running out.these brave men and women have my total respect . Prayers for the family of those lost in bullhead and for the firefighters because the losses clearly weigh more than the win.

Yeah I remember those things when I was a kid. We all grew up in a little Barrio. Whoever there was an old business.. or apartments . They have those on the corner. Where is pretty young. It's funny that little door and break that glass pull that button down purple light would go off the top. Congratulatory here comes the fire department.🤷🏽♂️. No I didn't do it. This was back in the early 60s. Severance for from the twenties 30s and 40s.
