Pull transaxle, weld 2 bolts to a plate, stick bolts thru from inside transaxle out with jam nuts to hold tight to trans, now you have 2 studs per side hanging down to bolt to chassis mount

Interesting using a puller. We just tap the back of the arm with a dead blow hammer. The puller works too. The VW motor hangs off the transmission mount...corvair well I'd run a VW 😊 Maybe fab up a front motor mount, but You're on your own with that one.

Axle tube gaskets are used on vw swing axle transmissions between the case and the 6 bolt flange that holds the axle tube on. These are also considered shims to help adjust the axle tube. You will need to start with 6 shims and remove 1 at a time until the axle has a steady but controlled drop.

At 8:44 Snap-On isn't open Saturday....and doesn't cost 8 TIMES as much for a tool you -might- use twice a year. If I used that tool once per week - I'd buy the Snap-On. Twice a year = buy the Harbor Freight unit and be happy.

Sand Rail is looking sweet Jim can I ask you a jet ski question I have a Kawasaki 750 sxi twin carb has a twist head 175 compression each side a Factory pipe And MSD total loss ingnition I want to change the impeller whats a goop prop for bouyies and all around fun Thank you Should this ski have a one way check valve in the fuel system also in the vent line its a 95

That is a tough call, with the total loss you should be able to pull a 10/18, and the ski will rip.

That's not a reverse rotation motor you're going to be turning the transaxle the wrong way the gears in the transaxle don't like that

Yeah key word “was” now it’s all made in china and I have had craftsman tools for 30 years but the new ones break all the time and it’s difficult to get them replaced. Lowe’s and ace hardware have them but I broke a ratchet that was older and USA made and they wanted to give me a China made as a replacement so I went on ebay and bought a rebuild kit because the new ones are junk unfortunately.
