@brandonhemming678711 ай бұрын
Correct me if I’m wrong. But I believe corvair engines run counter clockwise. That means you’re going to have 4 reverse gears since that ring and pinion has already been switched to the other side.

Too temperamental and require constant attention, not to mention their short lifespan. It's a cool novelty but if it was really such a good engine everybody would be making them

The corvair rotates the opposite direction of the Vw as I recall. Not the end of the world you just got to flip your ring gear. It’s been 30 years since I’ve done this and I’m going off a sketchy memory here so I could be wrong

22r would be most reliable and maintenance free of those choices
@bryduhbikeguy11 ай бұрын
Yes it would.The adapter may be costly, but building a cooling system is something it seems they are avoiding.
@Freeman-eo2lx11 ай бұрын
@bryduhbikeguy makes sense put like that but looked like it was all there like the whole tail left over from a purple buggy so why they don't want a ugly radiator blocking the rear views
@lesheath621611 ай бұрын
True, but you can't beat the cool factor of the turbo corvair engine, and they're pretty damn solid engines as well
@samcobuggies98411 ай бұрын
I may have a biased opinion, 🤔 I'd do the 22re if it's fuel injection, I'm sure the turbo corvair has more power but drivability of a turbo carburetored car is questionable? Fuel injection in a sandrail is the best thing since sliced bread in my humble dumb opinion 😅
@charlesalden916711 ай бұрын
This rail is going to be a screamer. Corvair motor if you need parts call MATTS OFF ROAD RECOVERY because Matts a freak for Corvairs . OMG you got to show him your rail looks brighter then banana yellow.
