Why have you tagged a post about your beef with TVP to a video of the F&R Service? Do you not realise the difference? F&R are not going to search your hoodie, neither do they have any power of arrest. They do not light the fires, or cause the RTC's. But they will come to your aide if you are unfortunate enough to need them. Right there is the difference between you and them. Most Stations will be more than happy to show you around if you organise it (a lot of Stations are 'Retained', so therefore not manned 24hrs). But the question still stands. Why are you tagging this to a F&R Service post? Don't judge all uniforms the same. What is it that you not like about F&R?

@@deadpaul6415 Publicly funded is not the same as publicly accessible. Fire stations are publicly funded, but are, in general, not publicly accessible. That’s not to say the fire crew won’t let you in to look around if you organise a visit. They’d be more than happy to do that. But with cutting jaw machinery and compressed gases around, it’s not safe for you to just walk in unannounced. For all the negativity about public uniform in AB’s channel, remember that the fire service have no power of arrest. They will not search your hoodie, nor judge your public behaviour. But they will still rescue you from a house fire. And the river. And cut you out of the RTC. No questions asked.

@Brett Reynolds A "pedantic bafoon" that saves lives every day of the week. You may not like their response to the bothersome and frankly idiotic position AB has put forward. But these men and women will still be there night and day despite the camera. They put themselves forward to put out house fires to save lives. To cut people out of RTCs, to save lives. To educate the wider community in fire prevention, to save lives.. Now, can you say you do any of that? Nah, I didn’t think so. Keep collecting the social security and tapping on the keyboard.
@kelvynmoore4882
@kelvynmoore4882 3 жыл бұрын
@Brett Reynolds If you know and understand what their job is, and equally really understand what it takes to achieve it, then you wouldn't be posting the reply. Most people understand that PINAC is not a crime. If you want to educate yourself, your local F&R is probably looking for volunteers. Following training, you might just rescue a child from that house fire. Or that person from the RTC. How is that a bad thing? It takes minerals to step up and serve. To be spat at from those that you could be helping the very next day. It's got nothing to do with pointing a weak arse camera at people. Stand for something fella, or you fall for anything.
@kelvynmoore4882
@kelvynmoore4882 3 жыл бұрын
Brett Reynolds Firstly, lets hope you never need to call on these people for help. But if you do, I hope the firefighter that comes to your aide remembers their manners while everything around you is burning. Why don’t you visit your local Station to see if they need volunteers? Then you can discuss your issue with them and learn new skills at the same time. Better to point these things out when you’re in their boots rather than hurling abuse via the keyboard. It’s easy to be abusive and tap away with a beer in your hand. It takes much more to step up and make a difference.

The majority of schools are public buildings, but that clearly doesn't mean you can enter them. I think the watch manager was just trying to explain that he thought you thought you could 'enter' as you kept referring to public building. LOL A public building that has NO RESTRICTIONS on access would be, churches, cathedrals, chapels, train station, police station, leisure centres, community/parish halls, information centres, libraries, courts and public toilets just to mention a few. He seemed a decent enough chappy to be honest, he never objected to you filming as he likely knows you're within your rights, but some random guy turning up filming wasn't what he thought he'd see today. I always like to see think from the others perspective, how would you like it if a random guy turned up outside your house and was sat on the grass filming your front door..? I'm sure the majority of us wouldn't like it and come across slightly negative and authoritative when speaking to them.
