Firewood Production! Can The Japa 365 Pro Handle Crooked Logs?

The Achilles heel of most firewood processors is they struggle with crooked logs. While most logs delivered from a tri-axle truck are relatively straight there are still some odd shaped logs, knots etc that can affect a processors performance. Today I have some somewhat crooked logs to show you that they can still be processed quickly with the Japa 365 Pro.

To help bring in trucks you need to get to know the owner of the logging company and have a good relationship with them.. they make the final decision as to where the logs go.. the driver will deliver where the boss says he's going... bring some merch with you..a little bit of butter goes a long way.. good luck Joe and keep the vids coming

So it goes into your trailer then you go stack it somewhere in your yard?
@ohiowoodburner
@ohiowoodburner 3 жыл бұрын
Yes. I never process wood onto the ground. It always goes into the traiiler. It keeps me from having to pick up logs from the ground and I can take my trailer directly to the final resting place.
@rickturner1076

If you struggle with a good log supplier go to a log yard and ask them for a good one or just hang out for a few minutes and you can have multiple suppliers within an hour or less. Get them to bid against each other and you can also cut costs

It's an economy of scale and an operation of scale. If I am going to maintain this lifestyle and grow it to where I can still do it I must avoid the big wood. I don't have the machines or the back strength to keep at it like that. Joe

If this wood was going directly to delivery I would agree with you. The wood being made is going to the drying yard and stacked by hand. All the scraps etc will be left behind in the trailer and dumped in the yard to build up the base. Joe
